might seem unimportant, but has he signed a new contract yet? his deal ran out at the end of the season and he's the one person i've not noticed sign one. have i missed something?

He is signed on for this season. I don't know whether his contract ran out this season although it is popular belief that it has.
Maybe a one year option was took up by the club...?
