Watford loanees....

.. I see Watford have  started the game with 6 loanees on the field , i thought the limit was 6, but could be wrong.? 

Infact i can't see them making that mistake.

Is their different laws for international/ domestic and youth loans?

No limit on loans from abroad, only domestic.

Proper loanees those are too - they all belong to the same people.

Pozzi's, the Italian owners of Watford, own both Udinese and Granada football clubs.

Well if the limit is 6 and they played 6 what is the problem?

The problem is Wellred , I had six on the brain (and in a rush to get the bus to town) i mean't to say 5 (five) is the limit.

Were talking loanees in the starting 11 Crofty, not the amount of loanees in the squad.(or from which nation)

So not just the starting 11, how many loanees can a team have on the field at any one time.?

Eastender: apologies, I did get that one wrong.

 The rules on loan players is a long and complex document but here are the two rules worth remembering:

A Club can have a maximum of 4 Players under 23 and a further 4 Players over 23 on a Standard Loan during any Season

A maximum of 5 loan Players (Standard, Emergency or Youth) can be named in the Players listed on a team sheet for any individual match played under the auspices of The League. This figure shall include any additional loan of a goalkeeper approved by the Executive under the provisions of Regulation 54.

As I said no more than 5 in the squad, which I meant as the match day squad, which is the starting 11 plus the substitutes. However that rule (since made and enforced by the FA) is only applicable to clubs in this country, so in effect Watford can have as many 11 loan players on the field as long as their aren't more than 5 players on loan from English clubs. This isn't the first time Watford have played 6 loanees in a match either.
