Have to say there looked to be an element of fortune about them all, but I'm not complaining. Can't argue with 3-0! If Syers did mean it though then it's an absolute pearler, unbelievable technique. Same with the 2nd.How weird is it to be getting 3 goals in 1 game from set pieces though? Night and day from last season.
Some people really haven't got a clue.I suppose you would say a golfer is lucky too when he hits a hole in one.Explain where was Cotts aiming the ball then?

How on earth can you think he has tried to score from the angle he was at??

How on earth can you think he has tried to score from the angle he was at??People have said this about roughly half of Cotts' goals this season. Every other goal has been some speculative wonder strike that he could "never have meant". Maybe because he is that good and he knows he can get away with it?Explain where was Cotts aiming the ball then? And some people are stuck up Cotterills ringpeice. I don't think anybody can argue about his other goals this season but that was a misshit. I cant beleive I'm having this conversation.
I guarantee you that won't be the last goal he scores like that this season. As Akinfenwa says, it's an art and it means players like him get goals like that alarmingly often. He hung it up over the keeper so that all it needed was a touch, and if it didn't get a touch then it might sneak in as a result of the keeper being unsighted. It's so hard to do but you see it happen all the time at the top level. Maybe he didn't mean it, but the only luck is that the keeper should probably be more alive to it, I guarantee you he knew exactly what he was doing.
