Continuity was the answer, like was discussed at the time. He's had 5 games and got 7 points, hardly a disaster is it? Plus he's dealing with the biggest injury crisis of the season.5 games and were writing him off, haven't got a clue what some people have upstairs sometimes
Most people on here wanted him, no point in using hindsight against him. People forget are squad is thread bare and today we had 4 or 5 first team starters out the side.I'd have settled for a point when I saw that lineup,

I would have probably accepted a point before the game, but it's the way we played that was appalling. People won't continue to pay to watch 90 minutes of complete shit. There only seemed to be Coppinger trying tonight.
This is the third time I've posted this on here, and no doubt will again:Someone please tell me any established, well known manager who would come to any club with no money whatsoever to spend. Jack shit, zilch, bugger all. There isn't one. Hence Flynn got the job. No other reason. He was clueless tonight. Why was Woods not substituted when he'd had his final, final warning? He daren't make a tackle in the last 25 minutes. Not that he can tackle anyway.New manager at the end of the season, and some new players. Please?

I agree with all of that apart from the main bit...Coppinger mom??? not for me he wasn't not even close....I'm not a big Copps fan i know but for what we are paying him since he's come back his performances are not good enough by a long long way...However we do seem to like to play him behind the striker which is not what he's best at....Coppinger is a fans favourite and i know my opinion of him is always in the minority but for me he just isn't consistent enough......
We really need the loan striker in now in my opinion. With Brown out for 4-6 weeks I'm not sure that I'm comfortable with Paynter leading the line. Sinclair I just dont get and Blake never gets a look in. Hume will be a big plus when he's back but he isnt a prolific scorer.

Daniel Powell for them has always impressed me,big lad though and seems to get a few niggley injuries,we've lost to worse than them earlier in the season, the team at the moment,is running a bit low on energy, due to having a small squad,a few signings might just give us that final push.

Agree with much of what's been said as regards the managerial performance. Ok, he's got an injury problem more severe than anything Saunders had this season and last night's performance has to be put into some kind of context, but to play Husband in midfeld when he had Fowler as an option, I just don't get it. Listening to Brian Flynn's interviews, I have to say leaves me cold... it doesn't always follow that good managers will give good interviews but, but he really sounds to me like he's struggling to form his thoughts when faced with the questions and just makes stuff up that he thinks people want to hear. Then, just picking up on the line that part of the reason for appointing him was he was favoured by the players... judging by his body language and indeed words in an interview on player, Fowler seemed extremely reluctant to 'big up' Flynn in spite of the interviewer's best cringeworhty efforts. So back to last night, I thought it was so bad I'd have been seriously thinking of bringing Bennett on. ngNow, I don't know what the 'Danger signs' were that he saw on Saturday but his changes hardly seemed to improve this.
The performance tonight was a shocker, for me, quite possibly the worst of the season.Despite their cup exploits Milton Keynes are on their arse, they've won 2 out of the last 10, losing 6 and are currently 10 points away from a playoff place. They are also missing their best midfield player Gleeson and a goalscorer in Ryan Lowe. We couldn't have asked for a better time to play them really even if we de have a few injuries ourselves (another concern of mine).Despite this Milton Keynes looked the more likely team to win it even though they were a bit toothless up front. We didn't test their keeper once, for that there is no excuse even with the players we had available. There was still enough quality out there throughout the team to at least create something of note. The reason why we made it to the top of the league in the first place was because even when the strikers were quiet we had a deadly/inventive set-piece or a flash of brilliance from out wide in our locker to edge a close game. Where has that gone? We still have the tools to do it yet the decline in the quality of our end product and set-pieces in the last three games has been alarming. Also we still have the same back 4 playing now as we did a month ago yet they look like a shadow of the defence that made us so hard to beat. In the last three games they have been all over the place, seem to be getting caught a lot more often. As a team recently we have looked worryingly open, wasteful in attacking areas and at times clueless in possession.People said that many of the performances under Saunders were bad to watch this season. Maybe they were in terms of exciting attacking play and the fact that it often wasn't pretty but at least you knew that, even if they didn't win, the team were solid, focused, wouldn't give much away, knew what they were doing and would be ruthless in front of goal given the opportunity. I've seen very little evidence of these qualities in the last three games which I find baffling given the appointment of Flynn for the purposes of continuation and a 'seamless transition', and Flynn's intention to and confidence of carrying this out.The whole point of appointing Brian Flynn was for continuation because he knows Dean and supposedly already knew the team and how they operated. It seemed like an appointment that made sense from our point of view because we were under the impression that he knew exactly how to maintain the performance of the team that Deano left and wasn't intending to change much. He must've convinced the board that he was the right man to do this and win promotion. Why then has the team changed so much (mostly for worse) since before the two weeks break? We've had a few 'bad days at the office' this season where we'd still have a game plan, do the basics but fail to perform and lose. These last three games don't feel like that at all, the basics seem to have deserted us which is why I'm particularly disappointed and concerned at present. I'm struggling to convince myself that we can still win promotion this season, I've not had this problem after previous setbacks. After the Orient game I thought we'd have a great chance. Finally, I really hope that these concerns prove to be a overreaction on my part and Mr. Flynn addresses the issues and leads us to promotion. I'd like nothing more this season.
