Defend
Looks like hoping to contain them and hit on the counter attack.
For me whoever scores first wins

Opposition Talk with Jake Smith:

I'll be interested to see how we line up today. I will admit I'm disappointed Smith isn't playing because I really feel we need that extra protection in midfield, and support for Whiteman, that just isn't Gomes' strength, but we'll see how they get on.

Not sure what to make of the line up. As said, perhaps looking for a solid base first and foremost.
Hope to see Fejiri shaking a leg and really working hard for the team otherwise, he could easily get isolated.

Maybe worried about Pompey at set plays. Only real reason i can think to play John at left back for extra height on set plays

So far so good. Couple of decent chances but Copps seems to be in that extra touch mode instead of having a go.
Ref doesn't seem to be giving us the free kicks we should be getting.

Another biased ref. A grand total of 3 fouls in the game at the time of a James booking!

It was James for the foul. Commentators must not have understood the rule, if it's a dive the referee blows immediately for a free kick and books the player. This time, the ref adjudged no dive by Harness and so it was play on.

I think Taylor Richards and his upfield pressing would have suited todays game

You wonder who's reffing this game!
Fejiri needs to work harder to get a challenge in. Bursik opting to punch instead of catch plus ref giving them everything. All these working to give them the initiative and keep the pressure on!

I’m not sure we have a goal scorer, as I wrote before the game started - who is going to score?
We need to find/develop a game changer from within our ranks.
