Rochdale tickets
« on September 11, 2022, 06:59:11 pm by Panda »
On sale tomorrow for ST holders.

TWENTY FOUR QUID.

£24 to sit in a tiny football ground at league 2 level in a ground they now call an 'arena' apparently.

What a joke. Oh, and a rip off.

It does sound expensive for league two, but they have to charge away supporters the same as home fans, for similar areas in the stadium, don’t they?

Maybe they need a bit more cash to pay their bills..

To be fair it's a decent away end and on the halfway line. Going rate of football too.

It shouldn't be the going rate of football though. Football should be accessible to everyone. £24 isn't, especially in the current climate.

4 quid less. We are on the cheaper side for league 2.

Again, at this level £20 should be the absolute max IMO. The Eco Power has the better facilities in the league but take Hartlepool with a crappy away end and no facilities and they want the same (if not more) money than some other clubs who provide a better all-round experience.

IMO, the FA should set an upper limit for all games at each level and then let individual teams decide their pricing structure. It seems that some are pricing themselves too high and forgetting that football is nothing without the fans.

Absolutely. I missed that one.

12 -21 years of age is £14. So a 21 year old adult who may be working full time on 40k a year pays the same as a 12 year old? Yep, makes sense lol.

As far as i'm aware, an adult is someone 18 plus.

What a ridiculous pricing structure.

Have you missed the fact, Panda, that ever since Hillsborough there has been a conscious and deliberate policy by both the Government and the football authorities to move the sport to a middle class audience and lose its traditional working class base? These prices that upset you so much are perfectly in line with that policy.

I'm not sure many middle class fans will be propping up the likes of Rochdale FC. Nor the likes of Donny Rovers either if truth be told.

Take your blinkers off Panda. Who buys the lounges? Who sponsors matches? Doncaster isn't a town of miners and railwaymen any more.

I'm not sure what your point is here, Bob. How does anyone define class nowadays? Culturally? Economically?

I'm a pensioner who supports DRFC. Lots of pensioners support DRFC, as do lots of youngsters and people on minimum wage.

I reckon you'd find more supposedly middle class people at Castle Park than at the Eco.

So if the lounges and the match sponsors are middle class as Bob eludes to, then what about the other 6 - 7000 fans in the home seats? I'm sure most of them aren't middle class and if they weren't in attendance then the club would fold. Even with the sponsors and people who buy the lounges on a matchday.

Baron Bullet of Bentley, and Right Royal Raven of Nottingham both take their seats in the West Stand, so yes you're right; the West Stand must be middle class.

Edit: Upper middle class actually.

Didn't say it was. Doesn't mean to say that there won't be 21 year old Rovers fans earning 40k out there though. It is possible although most won't be. It was a just a figure i plucked out to emphasise the point that potentially there could be a situation where a 21 year old is earning a lot of money and yet has to pay the same as a 12 year old. Which obviously is ludicrous.

Rail strikes confirmed for the date of this game (1st October). Not sure how or if this will affect travelling Rovers.

I’m a West Stand forklift driving warehouse assistant, I’m definitely middle class.

One of the cheaper train routes this season and easy ones. There was a huge group of us going. I expect many will go to Crewe instead now
