Your original point was we have the potential to be a sustainable championship club with average gates of 13-14k.
That’s just a pipe dream, we may have averaged 11.9k for one season but that soon dwindled down pretty quickly.
Good job you’re not going to be our next owner then dickos. No disrespect intended.

So there should be no ambition from our next owners whoever they maybe and whenever it happens, to have a plan to be a sustainable Championship Club because it is doomed to failure.
Go say that to The Luton, Millwall, Preston, Blackpool, Wigan & Rotherham owners right now.

You said sustainable, none of the clubs you’ve just mentioned are sustainable.
If you’d said we could be a championship club one day again then yes of course we can but we need owners who are willing to lose a fortune along the way..
Which is not the point you were making

We were miles away from average attendances of 13-14k in the championship

We were not that far away, but we certainly are now!

We were averaging 8-9-10k in the championship and that’s with much bigger away crowds.
What we have now is irrelevant to the arguement,

Point is we can never be a championship club without someone blowing a load of money on us and never expecting any of it back

To give this some kind of context here’s an example.

Preston, who neither threaten promotion and sometimes flirt with relegation, currently spend an additional £12m each season to stay where they are. Somebody has to dip into their pocket and write that off every year!!

The games gone!!

But if we try to be the club to change that then we’ll soon find our s’élève in non league. With no fan base.
