One year on

It's one year ago today that we sacked SO'D and replaced him with Saunders.

He has had more than long enough now to make an impression, so what does everyone think?

Positives... he has added some height to the team and we look much stronger physically than we ever did at any point under SO'D. Also, we've found our feet well in League One.

Negatives... His excuses after games can become quite tiresome. We still have a problem in the GK department too.

I'm sure there are many more that can be added to either side of the argument.

Pros: last season not really his fault, has put steel back into the club, no longer willing to tolerate soft peddlers in way SOD did, injury situation far better, Rovers don't get bullied anymore, youth really pushed on by Saunders, happy to make subs before situation is lost.

Cons: football rarely great to watch, not really sure what he wants us to be playing, stillnot convinced he will have extra gear if/when we come up to Championship in future.

GK? Woods has come on leaps and bounds. Looking a pretty good keeper imo. Use the money for other areas Deano.

Difficult to say as yet.  Last season wasnt really DS team. During the summer and pre season he has signed very good players for this level of football and the height and strength in the team now is considerable compared to before. The team is severely lacking in quality though but the wage budget has been severely slashed so that should be expected.

I feel the team is still in a period of transition and we are an entirely different beast to the team under the previous manager.  People will have differing opinions on which they prefer but thats football.
