Emile Sinclair from Peterborough then
-
On loan for rest of season. 25 years old, just been on loan at Dingles from Peterborough. Scored a hat trick v Hull this season but has not scored a single other goal before or since.
-
I'm happy with this, he was solid in an unspectacular team last season. And this was a league above ours too. I think Sinclair is just what we need up top.
-
He played both games for Peterborough against us last season, came on as sub in game at KMS.
-
Should be a good signing at this level, nothing at all wrong with that.
-
Big strong lad with also abit of pace aswell think a decent signing although only seen him on football league show
-
Let us hope he has some pace. Just what we need.
Welcome Emile. The first ever Emile to play for Rovers? A fine honour.
-
He's quick, something we need up front and a strong lad, the kind of striker we lack actually, decent signing this one.
-
plus i suspect we dont have to play him as part of deal giving Paytner and Hume o/s last year.
So a quality squad player....
Say on Wiki on loan until mid Jan with Dingles?
-
I think this is a top signing. He's certainly got plenty of pace!
-
This is what Darren Ferguson said when he signed him for Peterborough in 2011. It all looks very good until you read that Barry Richardson recommended him!
"Emile is very quick, and someone who can really penetrate the opposing defence," Posh boss Darren Ferguson told the club website. "And I think in the last two games we have missed someone with that style of play. Barry Richardson, our goalkeeping coach, has worked with him before so we know all about him. He can play wide and has actually played most of his career as a winger, but he has played down the middle and that is where we will look to play him."
-
Could he be in the squad today ???
-
Free Press seem to think he will be involved, maybe even start.
-
Could he be in the squad today ???
My guess is yes, he`ll play today, Paynter is suspended and Brown probably has n`t recovered from his injury yet

Doncaster Rovers are pleased to announce the signing of Peterborough United striker Emile Sinclair.
Sinclair, who will be available for this afternoon’s game subject to paperwork clearance by the Football League, has signed a loan deal with the club until the end of the season.
The former Nottingham Forest and Macclesfield Town man signed for the Posh in the summer of 2011, for undisclosed fee. He went on to score a brace on his debut, against Burnley.
This season, Sinclair has a hat-trick to his name after scoring all three goals in Peterborough’s first league victory which came against high-flying Hull City.
Sinclair will the number 18 shirt during his time with the club.

From tyhat vidoe, unless its a mick take. Looks like he is great at getting into position but not neccesarily a finisher.
-
Is it me or is there not a single goal from him in that compilation of his best performances? I fear this may be a Emile 'foot drops like a thousand hammers' Heskey pisstake 'tribute'.
-
He will give us some power and pace up top. In a league with a lot of slow cb he will get goals imo.

Peterborough United captain Gabriel Zakuani has hit back at the club after he and three team-mates were fined and transfer listed for going out following the club's 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Earlier on Monday the Championship club revealed that Zakuani, Tyrone Barnett, Emile Sinclair and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing had breached club discipline and added that they would not comment further on the issue.
But Zakuani revealed the reasons for the club's actions when defending his behaviour on Twitter after hearing the news, while chairman Darragh MacAnthony also took to the social networking site to support manager Darren Ferguson - who he revealed was the man to make the decision.

Well from that he looks like he's got all the attributes! He should do well in this league.
(What's the catch??)
-
why dont we judge Emile on what he and Lee Fowler do for the mighty rovers not other teams
-
Interesting. By all accounts he did alright in a poor Dingles team, in the league above too, even if his goals tally isn't always what it should be. Quick and powerful, hopefully he can fit right into our team, sounds like just what we've been looking for!
-
Agreed. I think he could be just what we are missing. I know we looked at another similar player this week, so DS has clearly targeted a bit more pace up top.
I can just see it now.... Coppinger plays a quick one-two with Syers, then curls a ball round the full back for Sinclair to sprint onto and rifle past the hapless Colchester keeper for the Rovers fourth.
Sorry, I must have been daydreaming there.
-
Sinclair is starting today. Team otherwise unchanged.
-
Hard to judge his goal return when so many appearances are from the bench. I don't think he will score many but he will certainly provide for those around him.
