Their last chance came again from us turning round and playing backwards, unbelievable.

Imagine being 3-0 down and bringing Cameron John and Madger Gomes on.

Mind blowing that we continue to play the same way and making the same mistake. Joe Wright will never suit a ball playing centre half as long as i have a hole in my @r$€

Time to bring CJ on in his position, lets see if he can do any better than this pairing - who have been poor now for weeks.

We are all over the place.
Only a matter of time before they score again.

I'm all for keeping possession but we seem to look sideways or backwards as a first option rather than moving forward

that's not the best sub either, Simeos was the brightest player tonight for me, at least 9 others to come off before him

I also thought Simoes was doing well tonight.
At least he was giving it 100%.

I think his race was run when he tried and failed to head the ball when completely unchallenged with no one near him!!

Shocking really. But it happens. Look at Lincoln.
Oxford are a good team. They have been decent for the last few seasons.

The way I look at it... we’re still in the mix, despite this. Too many players having dips at once. The injuries leave us short on options.

I wouldn’t write Andy Butler off just yet.

Look at that bench,
That’s not butlers fault

Lincoln are losing. Ipswich are losing. Portsmouth are losing. So the chasing pack hopefully won't make much ground on us.

We’ve not scored in almost 5 hours of football and have 8 points in 10 games. There aren’t many positives right now.

Its hard to blame this on injuries. We have some major work to do before now and next season because this set of players either arent good enough or theyre not prepared to dig in for the new manager which is going to be Butlers undoing. Barring Smith if its possible I would send the loans back now and play the rest of the season out with youths.

It’s nonsensical to pretend the injuries aren’t having an impact
James, bostock, Bogle, sims, if fit these are our 4 best players, so it’s obviously going to have an impact

True, but Oxford are winning. And Gillingham coming up on the rails too.

We won't make the top six without some of the injured players back.

The bench aren't the ones who have let us down though. Anderson, Wright, Halliday and Smith are all in our first eleven who should have done better.

BBC Sport Stats show Rovers  having marginally more possession.   Shots are 19/11 for Oxford and 6/1 for Rovers.   I think that our only shot on target was in the first minute from Taylor Richards.
