Minutes applause tonight
« on November 01, 2011, 03:08:12 pm by keyser_soze »
For Billy's little boy born 27th Oct, died 29th Oct.

Words can't describe the really awful news, just to say my thoughts go out to Billy and family.

My heart goes out to Billy and his missus.

On the other hand I hope the rumour mongering t**ts on here having a go at him are ashamed of themselves

Upset me as soon as I read the OP. Will be a very emotional minute.

Gutted for them both, my thoughts go out to them and wish them all the very best :(

A point we kind of made to the idiots starting malicious rumours on here the other day, respect a guy's personal life.  Horrible thing to happen to anyone.

Awful news and it just proves that there are things far more important than this game that gets us all rilled.

Would not be surprised if Billy again didn't play tonight, but quite frankly who cares. A far more important situation is to make sure Billy and his family have the full support of DRFC and the fans at this sad time.

I also echo the statements of people who had a go at Billy without knowing the facts.

Would perhaps be nice to keep the point-scoring against anyone who questioned the absence on Saturday out of this thread.

Terrible news.

My deepest sympathy to Billy and his family. As many others have said, it puts football into perspective.

No matter how we feel about the last few days, lets get behind the players tonight.

Life is sometimes far too short.

I really cannot imagine how you cope with something like this. Be strong mate.

I think maybe under the circumstances a minutes silence would be a lot more appropriate.
Football will be the last thing on Billy's mind at the moment, I don't think any one of us can imagine the pain he is going through.

:( Terrible news. The most important thing in life is family and I can't even begin to understand how he must be feeling right now. I'm hoping to become a dad soon and this would be my worst nightmare, if it happened to me I honestly don't know how I'd cope. My thoughts are with Billy and his family.

Such a sad thing to hear, truly upset me. How about a chorus of \"Billy, Billy Sharp\" tonight, just after the applause? :-( poor little blighter

I'd dare say the chant will start during the applause. Don't be surprised if it's for Louie either.

I feel a hat trick coming on in Billy's next appearance...one for every day Louie was with them. A fitting tribute from a proud Father

The minutes applause was Billy's request judging by how it reads on the OS.
