I'm pleased to hear DM's opinion of the performance last night, it certainly chimes with what I saw.

It would have been a bit worrying if he'd glossed over the performance and just gone on about the win being the most important thing etc etc like some managers would have done.

I don’t think BB was trying to start an argument mate.

However, if one of our posters had commented after the game that we had not played well I am sure that certain other posters would have jumped in and said stuff like “we have just won so stop moaning” or “why are you looking for negatives”.

DM is right that it wasn’t a great performance by our standards but he says that basically we got the 3 points so that will mask a poor performance and he is right.

Playing poorly and winning is what title winning or promotion winning teams do, Liverpool have run away with the league and have all but mathematically won the league but I have watched a few games on tv where they have played poor but still managed to win and get 3 points.

We put ourselves under most of the pressure by playing simple passes back and not finding the right man or running at the defender.

You can see the evolution of the playing it out from the back deing now looks to get the ball to Brad or Reece more often he even found sheaf a few times vs southend so it looks like they are learning.

Watching on ifollow we broke a couple of times and we had a bank of about five breaking at once. It looked impressive but we then gave the ball away. As DM says a little improvement with selection or quality of pass and we will take some stopping.
