Sheaf and Whiteman
« on January 31, 2020, 06:48:18 pm by sha66y »
Genuine question that is based upon what a neutral said to me today

Do Whiteman and Sheaf have to fight for their place or are they shoe ins ?

My thoughts are that we don’t have a credible replacement to push either .....

Where does Ramsey play? I think both are worth their place in the team at the moment but would be good to have some genuine competition to push them, and hope Ramsey provides that.

From what I’m reading Ramsey May be a credible replacement for Copps, ya don’t think Darren’s gonna tweak the middle and have Sheaf and Whiteman fighting for just the one spot ?

No. Can’t see the system changing when it’s working well so far.. the changes would be in the front 4..

And if we got a long term injury to either Sheaf or Whiteman?

Gomes could play there..

I see it but wouldn’t trust it to be as effective....
Just me trying to cover all the bases,...a good defensive midfielder can be the heartbeat of the team ....2 is greedy lol

Adam, not trying to be odd here but which two from John, Wright Or Anderson would you pick, assuming you would play Halliday and James at full back.

For me i am happy with Wright or John.  Anderson is a must. Probably the 1st name on the team sheet every week along with Deing.
It’s a nice decision for DM to have.
He has got to make some very tough decisions from now on though in all areas of the pitch.
It was only a week ago the team virtually picked itself.

Baptiste back soon. Could be he cannot even make it on to the bench.

Back 5 and those 2 in midfield are pretty much nailed on but it's as much that they are playing well than lack of competition. I'd trust Gomes to step in and play if someone loses form, his recent performances show he's decent.
