FA confirmed McCann is to serve touchline ban on Tuesday. He should know you’re not allowed to show emotion
-
Can he get out of it by attending a joy management course :silly:
-
Rules is rules, but f**k me.
Total lack of empathy for what football is all about.
-
Any punishment yet for Barrow goalkeeper assaulting a youth or Barrow player kicking a ball into the South Stand?
Absolutely ridiculous.
-
Wonder if they actually made the “referee’s” report would depend on him actually seeing something I guess so answered my own question lol
-
How many games for Pete Wild’s false allegations?
-
And his entire bench ran on to the pitch!
-
Was it for accumulation of yellow cards?
-
Yes was his 6th yellow
-
Was it for accumulation of yellow cards?
yes

So basically sticking a 4th official in between the dugouts results in more managers getting sanctioned over nonsense issues whilst the 4th official rakes in a payday?
If a manager cant be passionate about his side then what's the point?
All you can say is stick to your guns GM, makes a change to have a real manager, we've had some proper wet fish in the past, i want to see my manager living the game like the rest of us.
After the season he's had to endure up to now he deserves to vent.
-
I find the rules around the ban strange, He cannot sit behind the dugouts , Shout out instructions to the team , but he can wear a headset and give instructions to cliff burn
-
If showing e.otion leads to a ban, then so be it, I'm sure Grant can take it, it's pathetic. Is there any footage of Grant doing his 'run'. Would love to see it.
-
Grant will simply sit in the stands watching the game and passing on any instructions to Cliff.
Touchline bans are a waste of time unless managers are not allowed into the stadium, even then they could potentially watch the game on say, IFollow, and be in communication with their people of the pitch side.
-
Load of people defending mcann on here, whilst joining a witch hunt for fans who basically did the same.
Double standards.

Agreed. I think he’s allowed in the dressing room to give pre-match and half time team talks too isn’t he?

Except it is isn't it ?
Both not allowed, both against the rules of the game, and both have consequences.

Oh Ghosh, give up the trolling just for a day. You’re not that thick.
Wrong person I'm afraid.
But to go further on my point, the consequence for mcann is a 2 match ban, at the worst possible time, for 2 HUGE matches, now the most important of the season.
The consequence of fans on the pitch ?
Maybe a fine which is an inconvenience at worst. We could even have a whip round for it.

Utter rubbish.
McCann didn’t go onto the pitch. Fans did.
McCann didn’t break any laws, is it illegal for fans to encroach the playing area?
Did McCann goad any opposition player whilst illegally being on the pitch?
Yes McCann breached football regulations and has been punished accordingly and swiftly.
Do you do this deliberately to antagonise people or are you genuinely a dipshit?

I suggest reading my last post fella.
I doubt you would say that last sentence to my face either

How's he supposed to do that?
You've been through that many user accounts seems unlikely you know who you are yourself any longer. Unlikely anyone else is going to second-guess it.
-
I suggest you read all of my post, and understand it. I’ve given several clear and logical reasons to justify why your point didn’t make sense.
It’s your inability to make a sensible reasoned argument which inevitably leads to what might be seen as personal insults..
Given that most people on here don’t agree with your point(s), had we had this chat in the stadium it wouldn’t have got to my last sentence, and you definitely wouldn’t have posted a veiled threat.
I ask again, do you do this deliberately to wind folks up?
-
The club has bought some new items ahead of tonight’s and Saturdays game.
Groucho glasses. Grants going incognito
-
There is definitely double standards.
McCann gets a yellow for leaving his technical area, yet Arteta spends most of every game outside of the technical area. All too often he is way outside and often on the actual line which clearly must be seen by the 4th official, yet rarely challenged let alone any card being given.
-
He'll be back on the touchline for the playoffs

The whole Barrow bench left the technical area, not a single card issued
-
I’ll get my wife to call the EFL.
They’ll reverse their decision.
Job. Done.

Correct, and they were all on the pitch too.

Loads of people speed on the motorway but try getting out of your fine/points with that argument.

For my part, I wasn’t suggesting that Grant shouldn’t have had his fine, but am questioning why (and agreeing with Filo) as to why no Barrow personnel got a yellow card.
-
I know but life is full of these injustices.

Not sure running on the pitch and speeding on a motorway have any connection, but I suppose its worth a try lol!

Think he's taking the mic, as in you can't get off a speeding ticket just because others speed ;) in the same ways it's totally irrelevant what Barrow staff did

Accepted I referenced the wrong person so post deleted accordingly. Doesn’t affect the fact that you’re talking b*llocks though.

A real shame that Grant couldn’t come on the pitch at FT. Seems ridiculously harsh to me when the game is over.
What a shame it’s going to be at Gillingham too when our play off spot is confirmed.
I hope we are asking for permission as the atmosphere is going to be amazing and Grant should be part of it.

Doubt it will bother Grant. He wont be celebrating as he knows it isn't job done until after the final. And he wont want the players getting too carried away either. Let the fans celebrate.
