We are getting players we can afford simple as that

Northampton, Carlisle, Stevenage.

I will keep saying those 3 clubs.

Our budget is an excuse for not staying up in League One but not for being quite this poor in League Two.

Not in the Yeovil squad again tonight, away at Gateshead.

Injured or “injured”?

Did ask the question of Yeovil fans Saturday but had no response.

3-0 to Gateshead so far. God help the poor buggers who've made the journey.

Jesus. 10 years ago next season we played them in Championship. Now they're looking nailed on to be 4 steps below.

What a mess. They were a club with good Football League prospects just a few years ago.

I think the situation there, and what has happened to ex-League clubs like Chesterfield, Notts County, Wrexham, York, Stockport, Tranmere, Hartlepool, Luton, Scunthorpe, Bristol Rovers (twice), Grimsby (twice), Southend, Oldham, Mansfield, Lincoln, Torquay, Boston, Darlington, and soon enough Rochdale should be a warning to us about the very real perils of slipping into the National League and struggling to get back. Very few of those have bounced back quickly and it remains a ridiculously tough league to get out of.

Reading latest information from their manager no mention of Rio in injury list. So will he be in squad today. Was interesting in interview he said he knows what National league level player was required and they didn’t get them. Doesn’t say a lot  Griffiths does yet we have him a three year contract.

His loan spell to date amounts to 62 minutes, consisting of two substitute appearances of 26 and 36 minutes.

If he comes back to us we’d be better giving him a hi vis and making him a steward ! That’s about all the value DRFC will get out of him !

Not in their squad again today away at Aldershot, so guessing he must be injured........... or has been abducted by some west country cult.

Think they also have too many loan players. Not sure if that has impacted him, or injured, or just not doing it in training. I can’t see him being with us next season.

Why not he's still got a year left on his contact

Because we may try and reach agreement on paying him to cancel the contract. He’s clearly not going to have a future with us.

Who was in charge of decision making when we hired Graham Younger as talent identification manager? Because whoever allowed that to happen needs holding to account. I genuinely think the guy was a fraud.

if where  not going to do it to the manager then  where not going to do it to a player with 12 months lift on his contact

He’s not injured as I’ve said above he wasn’t in the list of players that are injured. Also as I’ve said above the manager said he couldn’t get National League level strikers in January so what were we doing.

On bench today for Yeovil Town, away at Solihull Moors.

Last kicked a ball on 25 March, as a second half sub at home to Bromley.

He’s been brought on at half time, with Yeovil 2-0 down.

No goal but he did get a full 45 minutes.

Came on at 2-0 down, set up the first Yeovil goal and the game finished 2-2.

Just read a fan report on the game. The manager had questioned Griffiths’ commitment earlier in the week apparently.

Situation sounds grim for them.

He got a great assist. He’s an interesting case. We seem incapable as a club of managing players that may be seen as difficult to manage/ not entirely straight forward.

Reading that report, he sounded like he had a good game when he came on and was a threat throughout.
I really want him to come good but just don't think he will.
I hope we give him another chance here to prove himself

Started tonight in a tough game away at Wrexham. Got subbed after 63 minutes. No goals or assists.

Yeovil have also been relegated tonight, so I guess it is unlikely we are going to be offloading Griffiths to them.
