The video is great and definitely worth a listen for anyone and everyone. I understand how many on here struggle to agree or understand the changing world we live in (I know I do) and whilst I personally don't agree with what people identify as always and certainly don't understand it it doesn't mean I am not trying to learn and be accepting of this.

This original post on the content was I bet supposed to be positive and not necessarily controversial. I do ask for all those with a negative viewpoint to watch the video before calling judgement on that in particular.

Also mods, please consider moving this away from off topic and back to viking chat. The video was about our club, our fan base, our foundation and although it's a mixed reaction it's definitely not off topic it's certainly club related.

It would be great if we could just all try to learn not necessarily agree on things but be tolerant of each other.

I think most people are tolerant of how people wish to identify and probably dont really care. I think what riles people is the way trans issues seem to always be front & centre in the media & it feels like it is being rammed down our throats all the time lately.At the end of the day you are born Male or Female & die Male or Female. Live & let live but dont force an agenda on people & berate them if they dont agree with it.

Thanks for the advice buts it's wasted on me as I don't watch any news on any channel, I don't buy any papers either so I am not influenced in any way from any media outlets.

I don’t think we’d got half way down page one of this thread before a well-meaning video featuring our club captain trying to break down prejudices and barriers had provoked aggressive responses about wars, mental illness, protecting children and the most popular grift of all - toilets. It’s not unreasonable to assume the protagonists have taken influence from the usual sources. Nowadays you certainly don’t need to follow or like TalkTV or GB News to find the grifters forced upon you.

The toilets one is particularly tiresome but equally intriguing - it’s clearly easy ground for clicks and likes. I’m really not sure that anyone has ever witnessed the issues with ‘gender neutral toilets’ that the grifters would have you believe are a scourge on society, but it stirs up some real anger and vitriol as we can see. That’s come from somewhere and I really doubt it’s lived experience.

Obviously I take it all back if there are indeed several on this thread whose lives have been made unbearably miserable by evil people causing trouble and distress to all around them as they tackle stigmas around their sexuality and gender identity…
