Maybe not if he chooses to be player coach.
After all, he played right through in NLN last season.

Yes, but the announcement said first team coach, not player coach. Whether he is fit and able is irrelevant, if he is expected to be in the dug out with his boss every Saturday afternoon.

I for one wish him all the best - great bloke, who deserves a break.  I think he will register as a player, but stay in the dugout if possible.
