I can only think that Fergie doesnt want him, shame really, i think he could have done a job for us.

Maybe there is another on the horizon that Fergie believes can do a job for us but is a younger version.

Let's hope he makes the right decision, Greeny would have been a good player who could play anywhere in midfield and has the experience.

Yes i agree with that, but when he played for us and really well too, i thought Fergie might have snatched him up.

Yes that could be the case, that would make more sense.

My gut feeling is he wants more than we are offering and we will meet somewhere in the middle and sign him

Anyone that would choose Oldham over us at the minute needs their head reading.

Yes there could be a bit of a stand off going on, only time will tell.

Unfortunately I think the fact that he played for another team probably indicates he won't be joining us. Shame as he's a good player and a popular one here, too.

He's getting to that age now where a player-coaching deal could be tempting as a first step. Oldham would benefit as they would be getting two staff for the price of one.

I've been worried that PG agent will want more than we are prepared to offer, not because we don't think he's worth it or we cannot afford it,but more because if 1 player is on alot more than most others,it can cause resentment within the ranks.

I can't see it being that as Oldham are potless....Just think it's a case that DF just doesn't want him tbh..

You might be right WC,sometimes even the best managers around decide against signing some players that many think would be fantastic to sign, they have their own reasons. But with the injuries,I would have thought he would be just the right player,The fact he can play several positions too like a utility in the short term atleast, would have edged it by now.

Is SOD still advising Oldham? Or did I dream that? Would explain why Greeny is there.

There's definitely more to this than meets the eye. Let's hope it's a football decision rather than one purely down to simple finances.

PGs long term fitness is not yet proven and perhaps on the back of our current plight, we're just not willing to take a bigger risk with him.

Anyway, we may never know.

What's happening with backroom staff?, we seem very light in that area, light in players through injuries, and light on fixtures to get the ones fully fit, who aren't on the treatment table, is there anybody to treat them?.
