Willie McKay's son is Youth team player of the year!

NEVER!  :silly: That boy Willie obviously still has some clout at the Keepmoat!

He scored 26 goals this season. But player of the year is nothing to do with that, is it?

26 goals this season. Decent. Future Scotland forward there.

He's Academy Player of the Year, not Youth Team Player of the Year.

The fact he plays for the U16s and appears to be over 6ft won't hurt him.

He's obviously had a very good season so well done to the lad; hope he progresses through to the 1st team

That said, players who excel in youth/academy set-ups often get preyed on by scurilous agents so I hope he's able to find himself a decent one, there are some very dubious characters out there

He played in the same team as the son of a lass I work with and she says he was crap and had a bad attitude, but sounds like he has sorted himself out good for him hope he can come through the ranks

Well I'm pleased for the lad & his dad & hopefully for the club further down the line, people should leave him alone he's done nothing wrong for the Rovers in fact as far as I can see he's tried to help our small club out.

I've said this before, both lads are massive Rovers fans and they were both with all the Rovers fans on the terrace at Peterborough last season. Judge what you see is my philosophy. Lets cut them some slack.

Hear hear, please enough of this vicious sniping at a young Rovers player and supporter.

Donny Rovers youth player and he has won an award at the club and the first thing we do is rip him to pieces before he is even near the first team. Nice work.

Cut the lad some slack, clearly a gifted footballer.
