Without trying to cause uproar.... does he deserve a new contract? Can we do better? A lot of ‘off days’ for him this season.

I thought he was okay today, I liked his crosses and his general play on the ball.

Overall, no I don't think he has been that great this season to be honest but not exactly terrible.

He had a bad injury remember and often it’s a very long road back to full fitness.

He's a had few bad injuries in his career. Looked brilliant last season but nowhere near as good this year for me. I'd like Amos to have an opportunity, similar to Lawlor/Marosi situation.

To be fair, I would say lawlor and marosi are on the same level, with lawlor behind marosi in terms of ability .

Do you think Marosi is better than Lawlor?

Easily better than lawlor, it's not even a debate.

Thought Andrew played well today and seems to be getting more consistent, got to admit I was disappointed with him until a few weeks ago but as mentioned he did have a bad injury

How does a thread about Danny Andrews end up opinionating on Ian Lawlor ?

Was DA brilliant last season.
We hardly saw him play.

TBF I think he is beginning to show what he is capable of.

You have to be mindful that this is L1 and players won’t be as consistent as the PL ones that our lads are often judged against.

In my pre match  summary I alluded to the fact that the Oxford wide players were the main reason for their improved form, and had recently been the main supply of many of the goals they had scored in recent games. Also that they shot from outside  the area if given the chance.
Yesterday you could hardly say that they ripped our full backs apart, and certainly none of the goals came from mistakes by Cummings or Andrew.
While not being MOM Andrew was steady away, and Cummings had a good game. During the game both Coppinger and Wilks were not the best at covering in front of Andrew, but basically we must accept that Oxford played well, and had to, to get anything out of the game, which is  testament  to our side being half decent. While not being a classic game of football they are two good teams.

Next season more realistic for Amos to be challenging either Andrew or whoever is the senior left back.

Andrew whipped two excellent crosses into the box in the first half one after the other - more of that please.

For their first equaliser Whyte was completely free on the wing after Copps’ slip - was Andrew’s positioning at fault?

Whyte tore Danny a good one yesterday, went past him at will.

So because you prefer marosi to lawlor that there is no debate to have. Ever heard of opinions?

It was Copps who slipped.
They do look very alike though.  ;)
