Have all moved in recent years and all are mainly wide midfielders

Oxford seem to have a decent scout over there. A bit like us in the 50s before Hubert Bates decided it wasn't what he wanted.

Disappointing we don't look for gems there tbf. Jack Byrne in ROI is another.

We almost signed Whyte, I think.

Sadlier came from the Republic so it's good, but it's not right. ;)

I know that Sads came from the Republic mate, I was responding to the post by DO who mentioned the ROI.

Actually I was looking for Rovers connections with Glentoran over our history.

I’d forgot about Paul Smyth and he’s a wide midfielder as well, to make it worse I’ve seen him play for Linfield,Accrington and N.Ireland

Careful Dutch, there are some around these parts who ridiculously consider Irish football (both sides of the border) as Sunday league stuff.
