Got to agree with DannyRovers, new manager syndrome means they'll all be out to prove to him they are worth playing in the team, plus not to mention he (Millen) did a good job when he took temporary charge at brizzle last season.

A waste of a good manager, shame.

Does this also signal David James' exit?

He was signed by the chairman and not targeted by Coppell.

Makes you wonder how he gets talked into taking these jobs. Thirty three days at Man City and now 112 days here.

Once upon a time i'd have had him nailed on to be an England manager.

Oh well...

In one of his interviews he talks about being contacted by Coppell and thought that it was a wind-up. I think Coppell had a big influence on his decision to go there.

112 days but how many competitive games!? He's been paid for a summers work and bailed after two defeats - nice work if you can get it eh!

Should be the England manager if you ask me, been there & done it all, player, International, & management. He is also ENGLISH. Get shut of the hangers on ie. Clemence & Pearce, oh & that Italian guy, & bring in Coppell & Beckham, with Venables as an adviser.

I'll have a pint of what youve had Les, Cappello's a t**t of the highest order but that's surely not a serious suggestion!

God know why he's quit already! Internal battling? A fal-out with senior players, the chairman? Lost his bottle? Rumours are going to be flying around long into next week.

They've got a decent replacement in Keith Millen who is taking the reigns temporarily, but their team is bound to be in some disarray.

Hope we put them to the sword now.

he is full times manager on a 3 year deal

Why not scuzzer? can he do any worse than previous managers? ie the present one. He is a man with integrety & tactical nous, as he has proved in his managerial career. He also knows the English game inside out, & I would suggest he would command more respect from the players than someone they cannot even understand. The rest I stand by too, Beckham is not the cleverest but would be great in the dressing room, while Venables was a top coach. It's a Stella by the way, are you buying?   ;)

Normally managers leave cause of the embrassment that we've beaten em   not before they play us!
