As I understand it, if the straight red is for a DOGSO offence (so called professional foul) then it is a one match ban.
A straight red for violent conduct earns a three match ban.

Yep, I've just looked it up. Donnievic is right. Straight red for DOGSO is a one match ban.

So in the heat of the moment you criticise a match official who might be wrong anyway is a two match ban but you deny a direct on goal scoring opportunity is a one match ban. How is that fair?
One is a gripe that doesn’t affect anything but one can save a goal and gain you points.
