And another manager bites the dust…

…Matt Taylor, Shrewsbury Town

Quote:
“They are the sixth EFL team to change manager since the turn of the year and Taylor is the ninth managerial departure in League One this season.” Phew!

Michael Appleton sacked at Charlton. Made a load of signings in the window.

Micheal Appleton is one of those managers who always seems to get a job, he’s either brilliant at interviews or works for a lot less money than others want. Has he ever won promotion or anything ?

I (and I believe several others) was disappointed we hired Dickov over Appleton.

Wow! I didn’t realise that Pancho.

What were their board thinking of giving him the resources to do that THEN dispensing with his services!

Perhaps they have Copps lined up to take the job and wanted to get him some decent players before he tries to sign anybody  :chair:

Oh that was a kick in the ribs for Copps. Red card I think as it was on 2nd thoughts below the belt.
That hurts. OUCH

It was tongue in cheek, Campsall but couldn't find an emoji for that.

Apparently he didn't bring them in. Charlton's technical director (Andy Scott - also lead guitarist for The Sweet) has the final say on football decisions.

They really should be “ Blockbuster “ signings then, or they are maybe waiting until they play Leicester City when they would have “ Fox(es) on the Run “

If they get promoted, I bet it'll be a "Ballroom Blitz" at their presentation night.

He’s not always a massive fan of attending training every day either

On balance, that was likely a positive.
