Not paid the wages again;
Morecambe: League Two side fail to pay players and staff on time - BBC Sport

It looks like they are in disarray off the field......dangerous eh!

Wasn't it the same situation when we beat them 5-1 or was that another team?..

There manager has said the preparation has been the worst for any match he can remember..They haven't played for over 2 weeks, havent trained on grass and have been locked out of the 3d grass training pitch...They haven't been payed, nobody knows who owns the club at the minute..The guy who took over hasn't been seen or heard off since October..Quite unbelievable really....Being Rovers....Away win...haha

Teams in difficulty often raise their game. That said, I reckon we'll be well prepared for them and won't take them lightly.

Just having a look at the odds for the game, Wakefield 100/1 first goalscorer which suggests to me he is unlikely to start.

They price up as though all players are going to start as you get your money back if they don't start and are not on the pitch at the time of the first goal.

I don't think he's ever scored in a League game. His two goals for us were in Cup matches.

Bad times for them, not a bad record away from home though so we will still need to be totally focussed, & I'm sure we will.

Morcambe fans talking on their site as if the game on Saturday could be their last, very bad situation.

Sounds like proper banana skin for us if we don't do a professional job . You can't beat a bit of frustration to get the best out of players.

If i hadnt been paid and it looks like a real possibility the club could fold, as a player i wouldnt give a flying duck about putting in a performance against us.
IMO ofcourse.

Let's hope not. Partly because it would mean the result at their place would be expunged.

I really hope that they see the season out at least.  No club should have to go through this.

From a selfish perspective, if they did go to the wall we would lose 3 points and 4 goals difference.

We are 2/5. That's a bad price against a good away side. I'll be on the draw.

I think we will get a win, but that price 2/5 is a joke.

Surely if the ownership issues can't be sorted out Administration would be the next step? That might at least enable them to see out season.

Hope they survive. It's terribly sad when a club at any level goes out of business.

I remember watching two games against Aldershot in 1991-92 that ultimately didn't count for anything. It cost Colin Douglas two appearances and a goal.

Although to say I saw the first one might be stretching a point. It was very foggy at Aldershot, to say the least.

If the club should fold (absolutely hope not) then the players presumably would be free agents, so the window would not matter.

On top of that players can be loaned to Conference and lower clubs outside of the window.

Isn't there a rule, if a player signs on a free who has had their contract terminated outside the window cant play until the next window opens?

Noticed today that a player can't play for 3 clubs in same season - now includes conference

On that basis, does that mean if Morecambe fold would Copps's famous 500th appearance be null and void and it would be the game after?
