I'd be having a look at Alfie Beestin in the next few games. I can understand the manager not wanting too big a squad. When everybody is back from injury too many can cause problems, wages or just keeping everybody happy.
My thinking on it though is we need experienced cover in the striker positions. Personally i would bring a free transfer in now, get him fit over the coming weeks and while that's happening give Mandeville and Beestin their opportunties.
