Would have preffered it away. Or to play Burton Albion just for a laugh.

You want it at home to be honest, more chance of progressing. Good chance for rovers to offer reduced tickets and get as many fans to the game as possible

We will probably be outnumbered.

I wonder what the chances are of this being played on Saturday 11th August? We don't have a Friendly booked for that day and York don't appear to have either?

Playing on a Saturday should guarantee a decent crowd- and it will (almost) be like starting the season at home for once!

I wouldn't of thought we be outnumbered to be honest. Just need to promote the game and i am sure we will get a decent crowd in. Essential we try and get as much from gate receipts as we can.

We could get a bumper 8-9k crowd for this game if priced right and advertised/marketed well enough.

LOL

I reckon a lot from c.1985 will be up for the game - old rivalry rekindled.

Please tell me this isn't a joke.
Cocup? Really? That has made my weekend.

Best one since Brighton were sponsored by Nobo (I assumed they were after the potential gay fans) and Port Vale were sponsored by the local bus firm, PMT.

Yes, the cock-up it is.

Apparantly the only other interested party was a company called Frobisher Underwriters

I had a nasty feeling that someone at the Football League had spotted the humourous potential of the name when I heard it called the "Capital One League Cup" this week. However, it seems that was an error. The official title is, well, a bit of a CoCup.

I personally think it sounded better when it was the Coca-Cola Cup

had more of an appeal to it imo
