Signing from Huddersfield , I'm loving the idea we won't be bullies at the heart of defence anymore. Well done DS and co.

That's a good way of looking at it, or maybe lockwood and hird?

But where is the pace?  bennett would fancy his chances against these two
Good quality full backs are really important to cover round
But they will a threat in both boxes and protect the goalie

Saunders said we needed 2 CBs. The other will most likely have pace.

Maybe a youngster on a season-long loan?

McCombe's related to Dean Barrick, Rovers former left back. Solid, journeyman CB. Can be a bit slow and prone to injury these days so I'm told

McCombe and Jones eh? Any team with pace up front  will rip those two to shreds.

As oppose to the fast centre halves we've had recently?? We've needed height for a long time. You don't need pace if you know what your doing at the back, look at terry never had pace

One i picked out ages ago,i wondered why all had gone quiet transfer wise with him,as in nothing being said about him linked to other clubs,Leeds centre-halfs had hardly any pace and they got promoted, players have to get them out of position first, very good signing :scarf:

I hope Shelts gets fit. He will be class in L1, I don't care what anyone says. I will probably play more games than him this season. I am also bigger and faster than Rob Jones, can I have a contract? I have only ever seen jones look terrible, admittedly I've only seen him play 5/6 times.

Martis is a dead loss. You can tell Saunders has lost faith in his ability to stay fit and will be lucky to get within sniffing distance of team this season. If he can get off treatment table at any point.

They don't need pace, they would of played their whole careers without pace they know what they're doing against nippy strikers. I'm not worried
