This is the status he put on Facebook about half an hour ago...

iv just met Dean Saunders and hes weve set a challenge. DonnY Rovers get promoted and i ditch the crutches and then we walk onto the pitch together on the last match. SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN TO ME

Be fantastic if both worked out!

Now this is a story... shows you that football isn't a completely lost cause yet! It would be fantastic, what an inspiring bloke he is. You couldn't make it up.

Ben is an absolute hero and a massive inspiration to everyone. He makes me proud to say I'm from Doncaster.
He should help us be united together as the rovers family we should be - get behind the team, roar them on to promotion and fill the keepmoat to see Ben walk on to the pitch to see an example of true greatness!
Well done Ben your story helps put everything else into perspective

Often see Ben and I think his step dad at the Keepmoat. Sits in SE corner area I seem to remember.

Fantastic project for both, will our "media team" be up to publicizing this or continue in his old ways?
