Husband.
« on March 03, 2013, 08:10:38 am by Nudga »
When I spoke to RTR after the match we were buzzing about this lad and I made a comment that he reminds me of McIndoe when going forward. More to do with how direct he is rather than the tricks, but after thinking a bit more about him he is a better version of Kevin McIntyre. This lad will go far in the game, hopefully he will be with us for a few years in the 2nd division before sometimes snaps him up.

He certainly looks like he could have a good future in the game.
It would be nice if he could grow with us for a season or two.  I would think seeing Lundstrum playing so well and with such confidence at a similar age will also help him.

On yesterday's showing, I think cause and effect might go the other way.

husbands performances will soon attract a price tag and i fear he will go the same way as others as the club will not refuse an attractive offer.

Could be our Gareth Bale. Was making some great runs in the box yesterday just needed to finish or make his cross a bit sooner sometimes, but that will come in time.

I think you mean, Gareth Bale is Tottenham's James Husband. :clapping:

After speaking with Nudga I bumped into Gavin and then Shaun Lockwood. I casually suggested to Shaun we might want to put a £3-5M tag on Hubby's head.

He was ok yesterday, very positive but how many times did he drive past 3 men and then lose controll, get shrugged off the ball or fall over? Every time really.

Thats because he isnt McIndoe or Bale.  He's a 19 year old kid.  Its all great experience for him, and his best days are ahead of him.

The lads 18/19 years old, my god lets just think what he can offer when he hits 24/25.... Scary to think if we can keep hold of him and he develops into a man then we have something special at this club!

He's still no certainty to train on. I hope he does obviously but he honestly doesn't look class to me. There is definitely potential there but I don't think he's one that will be going straight to the Prem for a few million like some have at his age.

Anyone remember Bale's first season at left back for Spurs? I remember saying he'd never make it in the premier league.

Didn't he have some hoodoo over him where Spurs would never win when he was playing at first?

I love his tenacity and love of running with the ball despite his lack of technique compared to Cotterill or Coppinger.  He's seems non-plussed that 75% of the time when he's taking on a full back he isn't going to get past him and he's going to lose it and just gets up and trys to win it back.  With proper coaching he'll only get better too!

If Bennett did the same thing Husband wouldn't have got anywhere near that left wing slot...
