What an inspiration this guy is, now i'm not renowned for my emotional side but I had to hold it together watching Ben walk across to the half way line. Absolutely fantastic, a true Hero.

Yes that was amazing. And it puts everything else into perspective. What followed this was a game. Nothing more, it was just a game.

I couldn't agree more.  Puts the disappointment of the result yesterday, the criticism of the players and the manager into real perspective.

I was thinking of starting a thread about how much (or not) promotion really matters against the backdrop of the life issues we all face, but I needn't bother now.

The whole pre-match experience was very well done, I thought. Great choice of music, timed perfectly. The Wild Rover version is a great entrance choice.

A great start to a perfect day........Well almost.

It`d be even better if the crowd adopted it and sang along word for word.

Agreed. Don't understand why we wait until it's stopped only to go on to sing our own version often half a minute after it's ended.

Even better if the drummer stopped playing over the top of it, he has been asked politely.

Yes the pre match experience was excellent and credit should go to the club.  Ben is an inspiration and it was great to see him out there on  the pitch receiving such a fantastic reception.

Unfortunately, the team failed to deliver on this occasion and the after match parade was a total farce.  Who makes these decisions to take the team off to then come back out 20-30 mins later to an almost empty stadium?  Very disappointing treatment of the fans making them wait that length of time and really needs investigating so an explanation and apology can be issued IMO.

IMHO they should have cancelled the "lap of honour." I don't suppose the players wanted to be part of it. I certainly didn't and just wanted to get back in my car and drive home- which I did.

Tough on those who waited 20-odd minutes. Either do it right after the game or forget about it. We had nowt to celebrate yesterday, because the job isn't done.

I watched him on saturday with mixed feelings. What a brave, brave fella - for a start. And what a disgrace that he's in that position.

Sorry for me strong feelings on this subject - and it's me first post too.
