Turn up for 90 minutes and we might blow teams away

So do we condemn Fergie for the abject first half or praise him for the second, including subs

The inconsistency is so frustrating. But a great win in the end. Should have been 3-0 at HT.

I think the answer will be in how he sets us up for the next game.

Both, that change he made at half time should have been made after 20 minutes when it was plainly obvious Kingolo was a liability

Our inconsistency will probably continue for at least another month or two.

The players we've got have gone from one extreme to another on a weekly basis, only today they did it in the space of 90 minutes and probably after having a massive rocket up their backsides at half-time.

We need reinforcements to help the squad and that won't happen until January, but when we get those reinforcements they also need time to settle in.

It's unrealistic to expect this squad to find meaningful consistency between now and then because it's something we've not done all season to date.

That said, we've kept the relegation zone at arms length and continue to do so.

Frustrating is the key word to describe our season to date, but we won today and that keeps us where we are for a couple of weeks so I'm happy with that.

I don't expect anything to change until after the New Year.

That first half was truly shocking by us.
DF has said that the early goal had a massive effect following on from the 3-0 in midweek.
If that is true it does indicate a lack of character in the team.
However, credit where it is due, the substitutions made a difference.
Beestin had a really good 45 minutes.
I was questioning why he had brought Blair on for Houghton because at the time of the change we were well on top and playing well.
Blair though, scored and put me right.
The confidence flooded through he team after we levelled and MKD played in the second half as badly as w had in the first.
Marquis was outstanding.

I reckon it also shows a lot of character for us to come from behind, especially after a few disappointing results in previous weeks, and win.

You do understand what I was saying don’t you?

I was referring to the team letting the early goal affecting them so badly o going behind to the early goal, nothing o do with the second half.

I did say credit where it is due with the substitutions making the difference after the break.

A lack of confidence might be more accurate.

I said to my mum whoever scores first will win less than 30 seconds later they had scored so I thought this is gonna be a long game and the first half was they should have been 3 up at least but some good saves and thankfully the post means they weren’t. The sub of young Alfie and formation changed the game, a much need 3 points shame we now have to wait for a few weeks for another league game but the cup games could see us get some needed game time into the fringe players
