Just in case you haven't seen it, can I bring your attention to a charity run being undertaken by Kevin Sinfield in support of his friend Rob Burrow and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.  BBC did a very moving documentary about Rob's struggle that you can no find on the BBC website... truly moving and inspirational.... please see the links below for more info.

Raised over £1.5 million - amazing.

Is it too late for them both to be in the New Year's Honours?

Its not unheard of for Rugby League to look after it own, rather than wasting  time creating committees and boards for their mates and hangers on these people get on with the issue in hand.

Well done the whole of RL, KS and associates for this very worthy cause.

Is any of the money actually going to the Burrow family?

I believe Rob will have structures in place for his own personal care, the emphasis was more on raising awareness for this cause.

It's an awful disease which sadly i have experience within my family. The speed which MND attacks people is frightening. It's estimated that a third of people who contract the disease will die within a year. The work the NHS do to try and make the patients life as comfortable as possible given the circumstances is first class but there is no cure. Utmost respect to Kev for what he's done in raising awareness and also to Rob and his family for allowing the media to follow his plight

Yet another phenomenal effort by Kevin Sinfield over the last 24 hours - what a fella.
Such a great boost to MND - I actually found myself in tears this morning watching it on the BBC..

Agreed MM. Incredible what Kev has done, again.
He would deserve the SPOTY award.
I also got something in my eye this morning by the way.

What a man Kev Sinfield is. Absolutely desperate to do as much as he can to bring a bit of pleasure to his mate and help others like him.

Sir Kev. Should be honoured for his efforts.

Absolutely when compared to driving a car around a track fast a few times.

What a bloke KS is.

Quite unbelievable to do what he has.
Has to be honoured for this.

Having said that I am not a great fan of the honours list as there must be so many deserving of an honour that are never recognised.
