DRFC YouTube video of pre Harrogate Town training shows him looking pretty fit, looks to have shed some timber too.

They won’t play him if they don’t think he is ready, wether he is at training or not

He can't be anywhere near fit. He's had 45 minutes since late April. Before that he was in and out of the squad with injuries. Its just not worked out for him so far. Some people are pinning their hopes on him having a great season but I don't see him being the Messiah.

Judging by the pictures of Lewis Hamilton yesterday I think being extra careful bringing an athlete back into competition after COVID is very wise.
