He’s very good at jogging around and avoiding the ball

Struggled tonight,
But almost scored one of the best goals I’ve ever seen from a donny player

It was a great effort, and he scored the other day, but offered nothing else in the two games, and rarely does.
I do not even remember a tackle from him, he was reminiscent of Bogle but in midfield - never anywhere near the ball.
To be fair, Bailey wasn’t great either and had the worst game I’ve seen him have - he looked a yard short mentally.

Odd midfield set up. Close and Westbrooke basically same player. Looks like Broadbent and Biggins same player. Not much diversity in there. Perhaps when Bailey and Rowe available to be in midfield we can alternate.

Never rated him. Broadbent is Biggins MK2, pointless signing. Rowe's legs are only good for 60 mins but would still be in our midfield 3.

Broadbent is a better all round player than Biggins

I agree, and it showed tonight when he replaced Biggins

Biggins is a goal threat but in a midfielder I’m not sure he can be carried on that alone.

With Senior on the bench maybe Bailey can get into midfield soon and add a bit of bite in there.

Yep people being unfair on him. Was good v Tranmere too.

Salford did their research on us and looked much fresher. They are a good side and knew exactly how we’d set up.

We looked out of ideas and energy.

Need Miller to mix it up. They played high line knowing Faal or Ironside don’t run in behind.

I think Sterry can cross a ball as well can’t he? If he ever recovers from his major toe injury.

He looks a real athlete who should be strong in the challenge and gets us up the pitch, but rarely does either. I was hoping GM would work his magic on him.

I actually quite like him in that more forward midfield role. Certainly at the moment there isn't anyone who would replace him. Always likely to pop up with a goal, as he almost did tonight.

That's his only saving grace that he might get on the end of something or score a worldy but how long can we excuse the ambling about in midfield? He only seems interested in coming to life in the final third.

Almost our entire midfield is out of contract this summer - Close, Westbrooke, Rowe and Biggins.

It is hard to distinguish between Broadbent and Biggins, even when they have better games. Seem to be pretty much same player.

The pair of them have been useless. Broadbent seems to be playing scared now even on the ball. Neither will feature with a few more players back.

To be fair to Broadbent he had to do a job as the left wing back because of molyneux coming off. He’s not been great but he’s willing to do whatever is needed for the team. He’s still a young lad with potential.

I do hate our fans sometimes, win or lose there’s always someone complaining about a player.

Today wasn’t the best performance but we got 3 points so who cares.

Hold off on discussion about underperforming players until the next defeat

I'm haven't been a fan of Broadbent but today I thought he had his best game yet in a Rovers shirt.

Can't be trusted to track back let alone defend.
