According to free press could be out for 2 months gone back to wolves to have injury tear to his groin accessed. So for the sake of ten minutes we lose him for at least 2 months
somebody wants locking up

Seemed strange that SOD risked playing him. Usually anyone who comes back from injury ends up being on the bench for about a month before they come back in the 1st team.

Goes to show SOD is fallible after all. Someone seems to have dropped a b*llock on this one.
Fingers crossed that Billy stays fit. If he's laid off we've precious little cover to step in.

Or goes to show how important Sean feels he is to the team. He also said Shackell had been training well and there seemed to be no problem. The player himself was confident he could put in an hour or so of the game. But hindsight is a wonderful thing!

This is the problem of giving the players the say so wether they are fit enough to play. Puts us in a dilemma though, if Elliot Ward impresses and by the looks of it his loan will now be extended who do we go for if funds are available come July?
Shackell has been great but injury prone since his arrival, thats my only worry with him, another brooker in the making?

as SOD said he had 2 training sessions and came through ok
as he always does he leaves it up to the player to say whether or not he can play (as ever all about taking responsibility) and he said he could manage 60 minutes so he went with it
if any one dropped a bollock it is shackell in his urgency to get playing again
we had the same scenario with stock last year he felt able to play didnt last so SOD said he wont ask next time he will make the decision
the thing with SOD is that he practices what he preaches he doesnt chop and change he has the same view week in and week out

Sounds like we need to extend Ward's loan until the end of the season....
