In 19 league games this season we have failed to score in 11 of these. Of the 8 we have managed to score in, we have scored once on 6 occasions, twice once and three times once.
We have scored a grand total of 11 goals in 19 league games. By comparison, the side immediately above us (Fleetwood) has scored 30 goals and the the side occupying the final safety spot (Morecambe) has scored 29 times.
In 1997/98 by the point of 19 league games where we are now, we had scored 13 league goals, two more than our current 11 league goals.
This is monumentally bad. It must be the worst ever return after 19 league games. If we cannot best 1997/98, there surely cannot be a worst return at this point in the season in our history?

The stats say it's as much about creating chances as anything. I wonder if an advanced playmaker would be more productive?
