Experienced head

I’m not saying get shut of Richie but clearly I’m in the minority - if the manager gets fired the question is who next? - two experienced managers spring to mind Simon Grayson or Nigel Adkins both previously successful and both sacked recently & available. Personally I’d go with Grayson but there’s not much between them.

The likelihood is Richie doesn’t get sacked because we’re not a firing club, the manager usually leaves us rather than us kicking them out.

Saw the thread title and assumed this was some sordid advertisement promoting services for the joys of the flesh!

Not Grayson. I will have a think but not Grayson.

Regarding the first sentence, CDH, I can put you in touch with Ann Widdicombe if you like.

At least it wouldn't be dull with him around!

Definitely not Grayson. That would be a terrible appointment.

I watched his last game at Fleetwood, Oxford away. They were horrific.

Grayson is old school we would need a whole new team to play his style, we don't have big physical players

So you want to replace RW because you think he is not good enough, but you want to replace him with either Grayson or Atkin, who have just proved that they are not good enough. :headbang:

Whoever it might be, most people would be wanting them out in a few weeks. Maybe a couple of months at a push. Then we can start this topic again.

Alex Neil for me. Took over at Preston and changed very few of the players, only bringing in one player to a team that hadn’t been performing and turning their season around. You have to have fit players with how he likes to play. Tactically sound and modern in approach.

Alex Neil is not going to come to a team bottom of League 1. If he can't turn it round that's him done in management at a decent level.  Plus, like you say, we need fit players.

I think the club should approach SOD with a view to appointing him to support RW .We talk of re creating a brand of football and most people yearn for the type we played in the SOD  / COPS / Wellens years .

A lot of the names people mention who are experienced have been recently sacked because football has left their ideas behind. We'll go further backwards with Grayson or Adkins.

Our club was seen as forward thinking when O’Driscoll was manager, I don’t see that now.
