Today’s team
COYR
-
Good team John and James offer a lot of protection down left. Sims hasnt played much football recently before joining us so makes sense resting him as 3 games in a week is a lot.
-
Good to see the great man getting a start.
-
No Gomes
-
Jon Taylor makes the team so assume he's feeling alright....
-
Gomes not in the 18. Looking light in depth a bit with Richards still out as well. Hopefully Taylor is fully fit, shame to see Sims drop out but he looked anonymous for the last half an hour on Saturday perhaps he’s tired and ready for a rest. And a great option for the last half an hour.
-
Someone posted that Plymouth are starting only one of the team from their game at Wigan on Saturday.
Is that right?
-
DM picked from the squad. It will now be slowed down with Copps playing. But we have to share the workload, whether we can scores unknown
-
Guessing Rovers team is harder than the super 6 didn't see Sims "being taken out" but in DM "we trust"

📰 Tonight's Lineup 👇
One change for the Greens as @PanutcheCamara replaces @BenReevo in the centre of midfield, whilst Conor Grant returns on the bench.

No.
-
Conor Grant on their bench, hopefully if he comes on he’ll be on the near post for any corners...

Intriguing one tonight, I expect a close one - good balance to our line up even with Sims rested and Gomes missing.
-
Just switched iFollow on and heard the home commentators paying a very nice tribute to Copps.
-
Good luck Donny, I am in Plymouth working at the moment. They are a very good side.
-
I see Niall Ennis is playing tonight for Burton against Peterborough - They are currently one down, but let's hope he can get a goal....

He's not scored, but provided the assist fr their equaliser....
-
Hmm. I'm a bit concerned about the midfield tonight without Gomes. Also being without Sims from the off. DM knows best though.
Good luck everyone!
-
Al;l I can get is buffering from ifollow.
-
How do I get Rovers ifollow commentary please?
-
Bottom left hand corner click the cog and select audio then choose away
-
Al;l I can get is buffering from ifollow.
You need to use a different browser try Firefox.
-
Fej is getting fouled all the time. That big CB will be getting a yellow soon.
-
Great defending by Halliday to stop that being one on one.
-
Sluggish start, sloppy. Lots of misplaced passes all over the pitch and we’ve been a bit under the cosh for the last 5 minutes.
-
Bursik distribution not the best
-

Never had a problem before, just tonight, I can get audio and a frozen picture whenever I try it. Poor service.
-
Did Rovers walk from Donny to Plymouth?
We look knackered, uncreative and second best .....
-
We had a shot.....
-
Bursik with the double block. Superb keeping.
-
Superb by Bursik
-
Best thing I've seen bursik do
We look knackered
Need to get a foot on the ball and make Plymouth chase the ball
-
Copps not getting much of a mention.....
-
Copps & James look like their boots are a few sizes too big for them!
-
Opoku MOTM
-
goal against
-
Shit
-
Rovers not playing well enough again. 1-0 down.
-
Copps & James look like their boots are a few sizes too big for them!
f**k me, add Jon Taylor to that list.
-
It has been coming.
If we are going to play well in one half it looks like having to be the second one.
-
Been coming... Can't seem to get going, wingers so deep can't get up to support Okenabirhie
-
Poor this... in for a long night I think... I’ll be happy to be proved wrong though!
-
No surprise we have been shit
only bursik been worthy of the shirt.
-
Against Ipswich when the home goal cam rovers didn't miss a beat, hopefully the same here
-
This is gonna be a very long night.......on the showing we gonna get mullered....I say bring on whiteman to get his foot on the ball....
-
Two teams on the pitch and the home team are playing very well.
-
Nothing is quite coming off is it?
-
Don't blame Bursik for the goal but why are we so bad at keeping clean sheets?
-
I’m not watching this one.. are we off our game or is that because of how Plymouth are playing.? Or a bit of both.?
-
We are being passed to death.
-
I’m not watching this one.. are we off our game or is that because of how Plymouth are playing.? Or a bit of both.?
Bit of both. We aren't firing on all cylinders, all the final balls are either under or over hit, and Plymouth are playing well. We need to get hold of the ball and calm the hell down.
-
I’m not watching this one.. are we off our game or is that because of how Plymouth are playing.? Or a bit of both.?
I think it's a bit of both, lots of things aren't quite dropping for us but at the same time Plymouth are passing it well and pressing us really quickly when they lose the ball giving us very little opportunity. The only way we're going to get through them is we get a bit slicker/more precise with our passing plays I think.
-
Change of formation needed...?
-
I’m not watching this one.. are we off our game or is that because of how Plymouth are playing.? Or a bit of both.?
Bit of both I'd say. Some sloppiness from us but they have completely marked Okenabirhie out of the game and looked half decent on the attack themselves.
-
Very poor,
Okiniberie cant keep hold of the ball which is making it hard for us.
Need sims on,
-
I’m not watching this one.. are we off our game or is that because of how Plymouth are playing.? Or a bit of both.?
Plymouth are ok but we’ve been really poor so far. Given the ball away with alarming frequency.
-
I’m not watching this one.. are we off our game or is that because of how Plymouth are playing.? Or a bit of both.?
Bit of everything we aren’t doing great can’t tell copps is even playing
Bursik keeping us in it, Fejiri not getting any help, think Taylor is still feeling the knock from Saturday.
However Plymouth are doing very well pressing well and winning the midfield battle
-
Thanks folks..
Let’s hope we can turn it up a bit.. we certainly managed it vs Ipswich last week.
-
I hope that was enough info IDM.
-
Change of formation needed...?
Think when we lose the ball we just need to run after it and get the tackle in as opposed to watching Plymouth player run off with it
-
Smith or Bursik been our best player so far IMO.
-
It's not over, this. DM will know what to change for the 2nd half.
-
We needed that whistle.
-
That last attack that fizzled out summed up our first half.
There wasn’t a forward ball on.
-
Taylor refusing to have a go with 10 seconds to the break ffs. Sums up that half really.
-
Irritating way to end the half. We had a break with Taylor and end up doubling back and passing it around the half way line as if we’re 3-0 up in the 94th minute.
-
Piss poor that was, hardly been in the Plymouth box
-
Taylor had a chance at 0-0 too where Okenabirhie but him in space but instead of shooting across goal he cuts in and loses the ball.
-
Passed the ball backwards far too many times. Summed it up 20 seconds before half time, had the chance to put it in the box and instead played it back to the halfway line.
-
No pace up front, no options for the midfield.Need Simms and Lokilo on. Really looking ordinary without our quality loan signings
-
Only one real chance, when that shot by Copps was blocked on the six yard line.
-
Too many players having off days,
Only having one striker in the squad isn’t going to help matters.
I’d bring sims on for James at half time
-
They don’t have to do much to beat us....
we are all over the place, bad passes, no movement, no strength, no midfield, and we have seriously lost the desire to take control....
my wife says I gotta stop swearing....m not sure I can promise that...!
-
Too many players having off days,
Only having one striker in the squad isn’t going to help matters.
I’d bring sims on for James at half time
John IMO. Put James to LB.
-
Too many players having off days,

I’d bring sims on for James at half time
We have more than one striker. We have plenty of attacking strength in the squad but two of those players are injured just now.
-
Taylor had a chance at 0-0 too where Okenabirhie but him in space but instead of shooting across goal he cuts in and loses the ball.
He did exactly the same in the Ipswich game, time to take a touch and shoot with only keeper to beat. First touch shocking. For me Taylor can run effing fast and that's about all.
-
Simms on for Copps, Lokilo on for John, push James back to left back. Needs a change of formation
-
Three loanees, all injured. They can't stand up to playing full games? Makes you wonder. Lincoln had a similar problem with John-Jules last year didn't they?
-
Taylor never changes, same at Rotherham, final ball mostly puts you back in your seat.
-
If we don’t up our game I’m seeing a 4-0 scoreline.....with Lincoln on the horizon...
-
Three loanees, all injured. They can't stand up to playing full games? Makes you wonder. Lincoln had a similar problem with John-Jules last year didn't they?
Makes you wonder they can’t play full games.?
Rubbish - they wouldn’t have got this far in the game if that was a problem.
It’s just coincidence they are injured at the same time..
-

We’ve one striker in the squad today. That’s my point, okininiberie is struggling and we’ve no real options on the bench to replace him with
-
How did Wright not score there.
He must have been nudged off it.
-

I don’t think it’s rubbish at all
It’s a massive step up from academy football and we’ve seen it with young players that have got injured for prolonged periods especially when they’re being relied on
-
Marquis scored two for Pompey.
-
Sims injured...?
-
Was that offside?
-
Hard to tell from the camera angle.
-
Halliday taking the sting out of EVERY attack he is involved in... I’d be on the phone to Maidstone if I was DM
-
Usually because there aren’t any forward passes on.
-
Unlucky from Okenabirhie after making that chance himself.
-
Better from us this half so far though.
-
Got to be scoring that!
-
Not sure what you guys think but it's situations like that where the honest players get punished imo. Their player's arms all over Fej's shoulders/back. He was clearly faster than him but couldn't get away. If he goes down it's a red....he stays on his feet and tries to use his strength and as such the 'foul' doesn't count...even though he's clearly being impeded.
-
Sims coming on!
-
Should have gone down for me would have been a red all day long
-
Should have gone down for me would have been a red all day long
Agreed.
-
It's not even that I think he should have gone down...I like the fact he was honest, I just wish in football the refs were empowered enough to give fouls when you DON'T go down.
-
They should be.. a foul is a foul..
-
I dont understand that sub, bring Sims on but not for Smith.
-
Finally a yellow need to get that a red
-
Whiteman needs to up his game tonight.
-
Shit
-
Game over...
-
Arse!
-
Halliday ... what a liability when one on one defending. He’s been ripped apart all game.
-
They've had so much joy down their left.
-
Too easy. Don't take your chances and you'll get punished
-
Game. Set. Match... Awful
-
We are being well outplayed
-
Well, no one fancied touching that ball did they?
-
Not been Hallidays or Johns day.
-
All that early fan optimism looking a bit dodgy now.
-
We just can’t finish.
-
Is our defence as good as we think it is? We’ve been carved open again and again this season, it just doesn’t seem to be working as a unit.
-
Why doesn’t Ben put some power into his shots.
-
Two words: f**king rubbish.
-
Inconsistencies our downfall again. No point beating Pompy away and table topping Ipswich to then have that all undone with dire performances like this.
-
It’s been easy for Plymouth. We’re well off our game.
-
Absolutely abysmal performance this
-
Game over we’ve been very disappointing tonight really glad I didn’t pay to watch this
-
We just can’t finish.
Not tonight, it appears, not yet.
But we have in other games. And we will again.
-
Goooooaaaaalllllll
-
The fightback is on..
-
This month was always going to show where we are. We’ve still had some good wins but we’ve also now had (probably) 3 defeats from 8 games.
Obviously still very early days but right now I have no idea where we’ll be in 3/4 months time
-
2-1.
-
Game on.
😂😂😂
-
2-1.
Really.? Someone just said it was “game over” a minute or so ago.?
-
Come on Rovers,get another
-
2-1.
Really.? Someone just said it was “game over” a minute or so ago.?
.. Irony..... Look it up...
-
come on lads
-
Need to step it up if we want to get anything out of this
-
Game over we’ve been very disappointing tonight really glad I didn’t pay to watch this
.?
-
Game over we’ve been very disappointing tonight really glad I didn’t pay to watch this
.?
2 nil down in a game that we have had 1 chance and looked like we couldn’t give a shit about playing
-
We all know football doesn’t work like that..
We can have a poor game yet score or even steal a couple of goals and get a point..
There’s still time to get something out of this game..
-
Playing like a team of slugs on Valium.
-
We've got two left backs on in Amos and James and John's the one playing there.
-
Final throw of the dice - Amos & Williams on for Halliday & Copps. 3 left backs on the pitch now...
-
Would have thought lokilo pace would have been better
-
Substitutions have been strange and that’s being kind
-
They often are.
-
I hope that’s the first and last time we see James in central midfield.
-
Fejiri should have had a hat-trick tonight, finishing has been awful.
-
So we have had enough chances to win this match.?
-
Amos been the best player since he came on
-
Full time
-
That was pretty poor.
-
Not good enough, no where near good enough!
-
Well managed to watch the first half the second I follow failed again just does not warrant paying for it anymore
-
How did cops play
-
Think Amos looked better in 10 mins than Haliday looked all game
-
How did cops play
Copps played?
-
Well at least we don’t have a long drive home. We set a high bar against Ipswich, it was always going to be tough keeping that level up. Second half was better than the first but many players had off nights
-
How the hell can’t Amos get a starting place....?
John is not a left back...looks clumsy and accidental......in fact we have quite a few players that look accidentally good....lol
-
Afraid that’s me done paying for ifollow as well, no service at all.
-
Well managed to watch the first half the second I follow failed again just does not warrant paying for it anymore
I didn’t watch tonight but I have never had a problem with ifollow.
-
Think Amos looked better in 10 mins than Haliday looked all game
Or John. Amos should definitely be ahead of John in the left back pecking order.
-
So we have had enough chances to win this match.?
No,
We didn’t start playing until we were 2-0 down.
Amos played well when he came on but James in central midfield when you’ve taken smith off is a disgrace
-
Well that was dreadful. We were clueless.
-
End of the game 2-1 the ball needs to go in the box, but insted we f**k about passing from side to side, very poor!
-
Irritating way to end the half. We had a break with Taylor and end up doubling back and passing it around the half way line as if we’re 3-0 up in the 94th minute.
Unbelievable, we’ve finished the match in the same way, casually passing around at the back when we should be getting it forward. Sometimes wonder if some of these players have got a brain cell between them...
-
Afraid that’s me done paying for ifollow as well, no service at all.
They did you a favour mate. It was torture watching that performance.
-
It’s very disappointing to have 0 points from the last 2 games, given how we ended the second half a week ago. Not the most difficult of games either, if we are being honest.
A tough one against Lincoln now. Play like Saturday and tonight and it will be 3 defeats in a row. If we turn up like we did for 70mins against Ipswich we’ll win the game
-
Knowing Rovers we will turn Lincoln over then play shit against Wimbledon and lose 1-0
-
John looked like he was time wasting throughout all of the second half.
Amos and sims showed urgency everyone else played the last 10 mins like we were 4-0 up
-
What's with DM's obsession with playing people out of position? Ended the game with a centre back at left back, a left back in central midfield, and a left back at right back. Really starting to get on my nerves. All 3 of Amos, James and John are all good players, but all looked uncomfortable to me in the positions they were playing.
They cut through us far too easily tonight and we didn't create anywhere near enough to warrant a result. You have to turn up from the start not just after you go behind.
-
Whiteman led the team well going forward tbf.
-
One positive is that even when we’re poor we are still creating chances. And Fejiri, on a tough night, gave their defence plenty to think about and on another night could have had a couple of goals. Negatives are that we were far too pedestrian, our defence as a whole looks weak and susceptible to anyone running at them, little protection offered by midfield, Copps anonymous, both full backs were poor on and off the ball and Moore’s team selection and especially substitutions were questionable - Reece James is not a central midfielder! We used to pillory Ferguson for square pegs and round holes but Moore keeps doing it...
Not the end of the world but we look a long way off play-off challengers right now.
-

Maybe DF was Moores mentor.
-
We move on.
-
Halliday taking the sting out of EVERY attack he is involved in... I’d be on the phone to Maidstone if I was DM
I have never understood what some of our fans see in him.
-
Danny mayor was outstanding tonight, he ran us ragged whenever he got the ball facig our defeders.
-
Why doesn’t Ben put some power into his shots.
Why doesn't he try passing to some of our players.
-
I’ve always rated him, always played well against us for bury
-
Why doesn’t Ben put some power into his shots.
Why doesn't he try passing to some of our players.
You mean like for the goal 🙄
-
Whiteman was the best player on the pitch for that last half hour.
-

You could see tonight why nobody was prepared to pay any money for him. Tonight was one of the worst games I have seen him play for us.
-
Knowing Rovers we will turn Lincoln over then play shit against Wimbledon and lose 1-0
We will be the first visitors at AFC Wimbledon’s new Plough Lane. Chance to give them their first home defeat!
-
Whiteman led the team well going forward tbf.
Whiteman was bloody anonymous throughout...a couple of decent passes and a couple of fluffed chances does not warrant any form of praise...he is the captain and he led by example....
We are coming up against teams that look fitter and faster Han us, more creative and better accuracy.....
The training ground is not the place for Natural ability, and we have some who will never look that comfortable with the ball at their feet....
Lincoln next .......
-
Whiteman was the best player on the pitch for that last half hour.
He was
Although he needs a bomb up his arse, shouldn’t have to be 2-0 down for him to get going
-
Not a good performance yet we had chances to get a positive result. Always a difficult place to go to and they will probably win more than they lose at home park.
We don't have to go there again!
-
Amos must wonder what he has to do to get a game. At the end of last season John was dropped for poor performances and Amos came in and didn't put a foot wrong he then can't get a break 7 months later.
-
Whiteman was the best player on the pitch for that last half hour.
The first 60 mins he was awful, we really missed Madger’s energy tonight, too many statues in that midfield
-
We had lots of energy on the bench in sims and amos
