Are we to assume that, of the managers on the list who are still in employment, that compo/his club won't be an issue in that case?

It shouldn't be, we have been very good and informed all the right people of our intentions.

I'm not being critical here but that doesn't sound like a plan B the plan B is to interview 7 people?

Maybe JR has got his preferred choice in his head, but is willing to accept applicants to make sure he doesn't miss out an outstanding candidate that may apply?

No, I don't think we ever said that interviewing 7 people is the extent of the plan, its part of it.

That's good to know, nice to know that we're trying to get the right man for the job, whatever hurdles are in front of us. I have faith in the board to find that right man, but do still worry about the destablising effect it may have on the players. I expect all this will be covered at the fans forum though.

Thanks to SM for keeping us all in the loop with official information. To be honest, based on the quality of our players and the some of the shit we've seen in this league, we'll probably go up whoevers manager. What's important is we get someone who can manage in the championship which is a much tougher league than league one. I'm surprised Wolves have gone for Saunders to be honest, they want to be pushing for the premiership yet have appointed a manager who's only experience in the championship was to finish bottom of the league (despite one team having a 10 point deduction).

I've got full faith in JR to pick the right man for the job, as long as Willie McKay isn't involved this time round!

Guys,  you just need to have a little faith and a little patience. The right man will be selected (as long as he doesn't balls up his interview, ;) ) and in the meantime the squad will be in good hands.

Thank you Dean.  Managing in the Championship with both hands tied behind your back was an impossible task,  and you proved you could put a good squad together when given free choice. Good luck at Wolves.

What If Rob Jones gets the job? I'm sure that It will be the right choice. I have faith in John to make that choice, he plucked Dave Penny out of the side to manage. And think I can say he did a bit of a good job.

I John We Believe.

They will all be interviewed and assessed.

I'm a little confused. If we have such a firm "plan b" in place, do we need to hold interviews?

The good news is a certain ex CEO won't be anywhere near the interview process and THE PEN(S) are ready and primed should the right candidate be ready to sign.

Yes I do.

The obvious qualities required of the manager will be;

Experience of getting teams promoted out of Lg1

Experience of managing in the championship

Interested in youth development

A good positive personality that sits well with club and supporters

Experience of working within a limited budget

You get the picture.
