I think it's no coincidence that, having being off the radar for months, as soon at the Rovers' hotseat becomes available, Mr Guardiola states his intention to return to management.
Aside from a keen tactical mind, the arrival of Mr Guardiola would bring with it the added bonus of a ball playing, holding midfielder.
Two birds, one stone.
