Sounds to me like the fans have been singing “boring boring schofield” and “Danny Schofield, your football is shit”.

Can’t argue with em

You can’t, we’ve looked a bit better since the subs so you have to ask why it took so long to make them. I mean it’s not like winning today would have put us within a game of the playoffs

Nine points off the playoffs now.
It was optimistic before todays game.
Now its utter fantasy.

Full time 3-1 must say as expected but not wanted. Poor defending and keeping has done us no favours again today. On to Tuesday

Onwards and upwards

I concur.

All well and good excusing him for poor results because he's inherited a poor set of players.

But no excuse for the boring dross he's continually served up with his negative and clueless tactical approach to matches.

And what is he supposed to do with a squad full of players that doesn't have the physique or the stomach for a muscular fight?

Any professional side can absolutely dominate us if they do their homework.

Press us hard and aggressively and we haven't got the nous or the guts to cope.

Schofield can't wave a magic wand and turn a bunch of powder puff lightweights into competitors in this division.

No manager could.

He’s signed Brown and T Miller who are the same!

I understand he hasn’t got great players but there has to be a point where he has to be getting more out of these lot.

One shot on target, embarrassing.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the manager have an opportunity to sign players in January with "physique or the stomach for a muscular fight"?

He signed 5 players on - half an outfield team.

That really is no excuse at this point I'm afraid.

Exactly. If that was the biggest problem you’d go and sign some big lumps not brown, Todd miller, lavery and Lakin!

This style of football is the thing that’s killing us.

To be fair I thought T Miller at least tried to ride challenges instead of shitting it and getting rid of ball before he got hit, which was the standard for most of the players through most of the game.

Lakin has more physicality and willingness to make and take tackles than the rest of the midfield and attack put together.

That’s a fair comment.

The players are poor, but the manager is totally clueless. He took the job on, & he' s failing, badly. His system & process simply does not work in this league. We start every game slowly, catious, & predictable. He takes a large part of the blame for me, for this absolute shambles.

It’s been said before. Refuel Performance Management only have 53 football players/ managers on their books. And 3 are at rovers. Schofield being one of them.
Our recruitment is very obviously short sighted. And a big part of the on field issues we are having.

I'm struggling to recall us ever having a side with as little physicality about it as this one.

All you have to do is press is aggressively and we evaporate. It's astonishing that we have so little physical presence, pace or aggression in the squad.

That's all Salford are doing. They are athletic and aggressive and that's enough to look a division and a half better than us.

Yet people say Lakin isn’t that good… he’s been the only player other than George Miller that offers anything like that
