I made a free hit comment earlier. I meant that is we were beaten by the top of the league it wouldn’t be a surprise and then we regroup for the next few games against teams around us.

However this performance is dreadful. Sutton will be coming for us

Thus season has been awful. Mccann has signed a lot of players. No excuses for me. Get him gone.

Grant "i don't know/ i'm too arrogant to set a team up to be solid" McCann. Should be on borrowed time for me.

If they get a 6th, he should walk this evening or handed his p45.
He's been backed with hundreds of signings and most haven't performed. He's signed 3 strikers and 1 defender when our problems have been in defence.
He had the opportunity to offload Anderson and oluwo this window and bring in fresh blood but wasted it on three loans in attack and an inexperienced midfielder.

Who is willing to take anderson and olowu off our hands? To get rid we would have to pay them off.

Come on, there's always clubs taking on players.
Both would be a decent signing for top half NL sides

The Goal Difference is now only 3 and 4 better than the two below us - after our goal!

We shouldn't be sacking McCann but we should be asking why our defensive unit continues to be so dire. We and in League Two, not the Championship. It really shouldn't been that hard.

I agree.

Was thinking about how Stan Anderson sorted a powder puff defence when he first arrived and how Penney sorted out the goals were conceding from crosses in our first few games in League Two after promotion. We are no closer to solving our defensive issues now that’s we were on day one.

McCann IS a good manager, changing the manager (this time) certainly isn't the solution, the quality of player we have needs addressing and the expectations need to be addressed!! There should be a meet the players evening not a meet the owners but OUR CAPTAIN is an example of someone who is way too precious, how dare the fans criticize him? f**k it...cup my ears and troll the fans.

I think Jones is improving and Lawlor has been better than I remembered, but not signing a serious League Two keeper was obviously a mistake. Wood might have helped if he had been fit but again, we've pissed around at the edge trying to be serious in our central defence and ended up playing Bailey there or changing entire formation to try and make a 3 work. If we had been serious and signed two proper League Two central defenders, we wouldn't be pissing around like this. The whole unit is busted and all of our current central defenders surely cannot be part of the future.

We have two genuinely very good footballing full backs in Sterry and Maxwell (Senior and Nixon perfectly capable too). We just needed two proper league two CBs between them to do the basics, and a competent defensive midfielder sat in front of them. Despite the obvious deficiencies, we still haven't sorted out either of those areas of the pitch.

Robbie's heart is not in it any more - he's depressed - for the most part all he is doing is telling us who's got the ball. Can't blame him really.

Wood and Long are out of contract this summer and presumably leave. Olowu and Anderson still are contracted for next season. Faulkner out of contract this summer but will presumably be offered something. Jones and Lawlor both contracted next season. McGrath for another 2 seasons.

If we view Faulkner and McGrath as works in progress, if we can move on Olowu and Anderson, and sign 2 serious senior centre backs, then those 4 would be a good group next season. Who those would be, I have no idea but we need a totally new start. Equally you could move on one of Jones or Lawlor and have the remaining one fight it out with a serious keeper.

Colchester still 1 up at Morecambe and Morecambe missed a penalty at the start of the 2nd half but seem to be under pressure from Colchester.
