Very interesting to read comments from both Adkins and Sharp about fitness.Adkins stated that they have had to do some work on Billy's conditioning when he arrived,and even Billy has said he wasn't in the best condition when he joined and that the level of fitness at Southampton is a notch above what he is used to...
Now we can all except that our players at the minute are probably lacking in the skills area to compete in this league but surely we should be able to make sure our players are as fit as anybody's.After all the first thing Saunders did was bring in Mal the fitness coach....
Normally you wouldn't pay much heed but when you look at the amount of goals and points we have shipped from 80 mins on this season maybe there's lessons to be learned here..!!!
