It is bizarre.A bloke kicks out intending to kick an opponent and is rightly sent off under "the Rules". Then there is an appeal which cancels the Red CardIn our previous home game a Player DID make full contact kick or two on an opponent in full view of The "Ref" who immediately blew for "an offence". He then spent an eternity debating the offence with lots of people before finally handing a Yellow Card.It was and still is one of the clearest Red Cards anyone could see - yet that Player does not seem to have had any justifiable sanction(s) either at the time nor sinceIt is bizarre
If the ref gives a yellow card he is deemed to have seen the incident so no further action can be taken. That is as I remember it.I'm sure that this arguement has come up before on numerous occasions.
The precedent set here is you're allowed to swing for someone as long as you're crap at it and miss.Hopefully the committee members responsible got a stern telling off behind closed doors and this doesn't start to spread.
