Thanks RA for the write ups useful indeed, I will be here cheering the team on and hoping that CJ has a really good game.
-
Glad to see Copps starting but still don’t understand why Sads isn’t.
-
Let's hope "Storm Ennis" creates as much havoc to their defence as his namesake Storm Dennis"
-
4-4-2? Looks like it from that choice of personnel. Choice from Sadlier, Taylor, Gomes and Blair as subs for Copps and Ramsey if needed, others in case of injuries? Looks a good plan to me.
-
commentary begins
-
4-3-1-2 maybe
-
I can foresee the tannoy announcer thinking he is funny when he makes the announcement in the 72nd minute and the Doncaster substitution is John to Baptiste
Glad to see him back
-
bless you my son
-
2 mins in and John commits the first foul.
-
rovers into the wind, blustery
-
Twenty minutes gone. How we doing? According to the BBC football website we have 68% possession.
-
scrappy play hard to keep it in the field of play, loose possetion from rovers
-
Coventry go top and Fleetwood go into the op six.

Cheers, Sydney!
-
23 mins gone.
One attempt on goal by each side.
-
a bit of end to end play with a small chance for each side
-
shrews corner with poor finish
-
good play down field sheaf over the bar
-
Thank you Sydney! :)

Now up to 71% possession! Probably doesn’t mean much, eh?
-
raining as well now hats off to rovers supporters
-
They are better with their hats on if it's raining.
-
long stoppage through sheaf tackle whiteman gets a chat from ref
-
Stopo it deebee!! I'm nrly wetting myself here!
:)

Not a particularly exciting game.
-
agreed
-
I've been working in Telford for a while - it's only a gnats whisker from Shrewsbury. The natives are not happy with the brand of togger they're playing under Ricketts. Boring, defensive and crap are just a few of the descriptions I've heard.

A turgid, lacklustre and uncomposed first half from Rovers.
They are trying to league one the f**k out of us. Bobly ptch, windy conditions, rolling around looking to get our lot sent off.
They might succeed.

Has Evans taken over at Shrews?
-
ball boys had the better of the first 45m
-
Cole had a couple of good runs but the wind is making control hard and play very disjointed
-
Reight load of ba-baa, that was.
-
yep the twitter feed tells the story, nothing much to report
-
I'm not sure why Moore has abandoned our best attacking formation with Saddlier/Taylor on the wings. We were so deadly out wide earlier in the season. Now it looks like a pre-season game with new players learning how to pass to each other. (in some ways it is)
All the good parts of the Ennis' game dissapear also when he's asked to playe wider. It doesn't work for me.

Some of Moores team selections are very odd.
-
Come on you Reds... :scarf:
-
hopefully our boys conditioning will allow them to break free and maybe a more direct route to goal
-
Next weeks opponents continue their return to form.
-
whiteman curls one near top top rh corner good save
-
Come out much better in the 2nd half,
-
Can't understand why our top goalscorer is warming the bench along with the best deliverer of a cross

You aren't alone with that thought.
-
Hit the post, Ramsey
-
Next weeks opponents continue their return to form.
and their goal difference is a mouth watering +6
-
Chaps: did Aaron Taylor-Sinclair play for us once? If he did, he's just scored - for Livingston
Bob
PS Watch Burnley v Bournemouth tonight. More farcical VAR. Twice. Utter shambles.

Yes CLH, not so good but they currently have ten more points than us.
-
Oxford now ahead at Ipswich.
-
Ipswich's super forward, who's name I can't remember, is out for the season I read the other day.
BobG
-
taylor trying to get on corner to rovers
-
Taylor on for Copps.
-
free kick and corner shrews
-
Scores starting to go against us we need a winner,c'mon lads!!
-
The lack of comments on the match speaks volumes.
-
Sunderland now 2-0 up and into fourth place, eight points ahead of us with only twelve games to go.
We REALLY do need to get a winner today.
-
1:0
-
1-0
-
Kinnel.
-
We are awful. But at least we are safe
-
Wonderful....
BobG
-
Not good for our play off prospects now, 6 points to pick up over 12 games, difficult.
-
Yep two away defeats kills the season off really. Time to think about focussing on next year now.
-
We have no chance of achieving a top six place if we lose this.
Campsall will no doubt tell me I am wrong.
-
Yup.. another season in league 1. All being well a bit more stability over the summer and push on next season
-
I do recall that wen DM arrived some of the West Brom supporters were saying he tinkers and he regularly doesn't play good players.I'm sure there's reasons but Sadlier in particular is odd. He's not signing the new contract he's been offered and if he doesn't play much, he could well be off come the summer.
BobG
-
I mentioned the other day that he is becoming the tinkerman.
-
Yes. I saw that Hound. Starting to look true isn't it. I read somewhere that he picks the side to give the team the best chance of winning and it doen't matter two hoots who gets dropped and who gets picked. He goes on the horses for courses principle.

He won't be the only one Bob.

Not working very well then is it.
This will be Shrews first win in a dozen league games.
-
Oh dear. It does sound as if we are going backwards doesn't it? A pity. We had a good side that only needed a decent forward. Now we've got several you might wonder if we've undone the whole team.

Toothless!

Toothless!

Apart from 11 goals from Sads we have no other recognised goal scorer it started in the Summer and it’s still the same. But we can’t afford off list A so we have what we’ve got. Must find two goal scorers in the summer if we want to be realistic contenders next season. But do the club want that?
-
My mother always used to say if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. So I'll see you all next game.
-
Season over I’m afraid.
-

You'll not see many Copps. Starting with next week, attendances will drop like a stone now.
-
very ordinary performance, didn't look like a team at all I'm afraid.
-
I think at start of season we started with no fear playing attacking exciting football, it’s so different at the minute not sure what has gone wrong
-
Why we dropping sadlier? Over the last month he’s been our best player by a mile.
But we’ve dropped him for the last two games, makes zero sense
-
Of the ten above us only two lost, and they lost to teams above us.
Five of the top six won, the other one didn't play.
I don't understand why Sads doesn't start.
-
Not what the doctor ordered.
Bit of a puzzle to leave our top scorer on the bench but we still should have had enough to win that game.
Feels like our play off hopes have been allowed to slip away too easily.

'Toothless'

Nothing is meant by this post at all apart from I just thought it amusing that as a supporter of Doncaster Rovers, with their Viking motif, and being a school teacher studying with his Y4s the book 'How to Train Your Dragon' - that 'Toothless' is the said dragon that needs training by the Viking known as 'Hiccup' - apologies for wasting everyone's time who's read my post.
Lol
Good books and films tho!
