Does anyone want to buy a copy? I got it through the steam application but have just found out that my kids have bought me it for a present and I havent the heart to tell them. I'll sell it and take them out to cheswolds for dinner before the Swansea game.

I managed to get Stock and co on new contracts.  Sold Shiels though simply for the money to Leicester and got 400k for Lockwood as he's too slow.  Bargain that.  Sharp, Copps and Woods seem to be our best players.

I think my last game was FM08, had Rovers in top half of prem for years, then one relegation dog fight and I bit the dust and ended up at Southport. Cruel world football.
After reading your descriptions feel tempted to get a copy and restart my managerial career.

Mulgrew/Pedro

McGinn
Muntari
Howson
Downing

Sharp
Bothroyd

Fryatt on loan

Spearing

Not bad

The man management aspect leaves a lot to be desired. Sulli was upset over a lack of discipline, I said I'd sort it and he called me a liar. I opened negotiations with Stock and he wanted £15k p/w so I tried to sell him. Then he approached me saying he didn't want to leave but I had no option to tell him I wanted him to sign a new deal so he got arse on. Strangely though his agent is piss weak. Come January I got the 6 month reminder and re-opened negotiations - he wanted £15k p/w so I offered my maximum - £6k p/w. He came back wanting £8k, I could only offer £6k again and I think he's took it.

On the pitch its going very well. Few signings to speak of - one South African left winger and one Brazilian centre back on frees plus a LB on loan from Chelsea and a striker on loan from Liverpool (he's not needed though - Sharp is on almost a goal a game!). I'm finding it very high scoring using tactics from FM10. I was 2nd at the start of December but a dodgy Xmas period has seen me drop to 6th.

I don't know if his stas were randomly generated but I had a superstar in my U18's called Adam Hogg. I didn't know much about him till Man U and Arsenal came sniffing so I got £800k for him without him kicking a ball plus lots of add ons. He might be worth checking but I think some youth teamers have random stats in each game so he could be w**k on yours.

The agent thing is a bit annoying too but I've been offered a couple of good players that way, just couldn't afford them.

I really want it but iv only got a work laptop, might buy a 2nd hand one so I can play along. Sounds like Rovers finally have decent ratings.

Overall I'd say its fairly accurate - Very strong midfield and Sharp bangs them in for fun. Defence has its good games but overall a bit weak. Dumbuya's stats are too low but can't blame the researcher for that as his stats will have been submitted before Dumbuya made the first team.

My laptop is an average Acer but I take all the fancy stuff out in the options - no sounds, no 3D, just commentary. I'm sure it means I miss stuff but I can cope as I don't get much time to play so like to make as much progress as I can.

Any chance you can tell us how these Football games rate Sharp and Heffs in points value or coinage (or whatever it does), it might be accepted then.

And if anyone wants to have a go at a free footy manager game, I play on soccermanager.com (in English Championship 378).  Got Rovers to the top of Div3 (of 4) so far, and looking good for promotion.  This one plays in real time with 2 games a week (usually saturday and wednesday evening).

I actually sold Stock to Villa for 2.8m! Oster went to QPR for 300k and now Woods wants to leave!

First season I won the league by 5 pts also ahead of Burnley aswell.  Signings included Alex Smithies, Van Mosselveld, Calum Davenport, Guus Joppen (must buy for Rovers) and Jeremy Aliadiere.  Also had some good loanees in Freddy Sears, Donall Mcdermott and JET.

In the Prem, struggled a bit but got draws with Arsenal and Chelsea and beat City and Liverpool (5-1 against the scousers).  Finished 14th in the end with Yaya Sanogo getting 21 as my top scorer.  Signings that season were varied but Darren Pratley was a steal at 2M.

Into season 3 will see how it goes but I've just paid 18M for the KMS so....
