My best was Stevie Wonder's Superstition. "Thirteen months on baked beans, broke the looking glass."

Though I suppose after 13 months on baked beans you'd have enough fart power to break anything!

Whenever misheard lyrics are mentioned I always think of Queens 'one vision' - I swear that the end of the song is....."fried chicken!". Listen to it - I defy anyone to say it isn't!

And while we're at it - wtf was Mike Reid doing on the dance floor in thriller - "Mike Reid just walks on the dance floor" - it's there, just listen!

That'll be Macey Gray - 'I try' - Classic love song!

BB

Me to my wife.

I also wore a gimp suit, a gas mask, a pair of over-sized swimming flippers and a pair of Kenny Everett massive hands. And I stuck a grapefruit injected with poppers in my mouth.

My wife was convinced for years that the Eagles song Hotel California had a line about 'The warm smell of Policemen'

I overheard my 7 year old granddaughter singing the national anthem the other day......

Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Oscar Pistorious,
God save The Queen.

Mrs Brightside's a bit of a lard arse so I shouldn't have been suprised when she told me she thought The Jam were singing about "eatin' trifles" in this one

Prince charming, Adam Ant

I could never understand the line "Ridicule theres nothing to be scared of"

So I used to sing "Rinky doo theres nothing to be scared of"

I always thought Hot chocolate believed in merkels.. Still could be worse, they could have believed in merkins,

I guess a merkin could be the thing for Errol Brown if he was as bald all over as he was on top.........................

I do love the rinky doo tho Filo. :)

There's a line in Bowie's Modern Love, goes something like "church on time - makes me party" used to sound to me like "church on time - makes me vomit".

Eurythmics, Obsession "I want you so it's an obsession" sounded like "can't stop the circumcision"

I think the "fried chicken" Queen line is genuine?

Back in the late 90's when I was playing my Ministry of Sound Annual 2 tapes all day and night my mum was convinced that Tori Amos sang "I wanna be your coconut" in her song, "Professional Widow".

She also called The Lisa Marie Experience's song (Keep on Jumping) "Bonky Bonky" after mishearing the looped "Keep on, Keep on, Keep on" sample.

Then there's the time the missus started innocently singing "Jungle Bunny" instead of "Jungle Boogie". She was mortified when I told her the racist connotations, not least because she'd been singing the same lyric with her Indian boss in the car that afternoon.

Juicy

Could be worse. They could believe in Merkel. M

Any road, as I've mentioned before, I had 40 years, before lyrics websites got established, thinking that Marc Bolan knew a dirty and sweet lass who had the teeth of a hydroponium.
