Hahaha I remember whatever the season it was , the last away game of the season the north branch was giving them away with the end of season review programme
-
26th March 2007

Dear God what an awful song.
-
Agree RedJ, it was hardly 'St Elmo's Fire' was it?
-
And St Elmos Fire was hardly a classic was it.
-
No disrespect to OP but how can this be left on topic and Ben Parkinson thread be moved to off topic
-
Well, simple really. Ben Parkinson being given freedom of Doncaster isn't anything to do with Rovers specifically, or football at all really, whereas this is about a song that's obviously about Rovers and the case makes it obvious that it is.
-
But Ben has also been a great supporter of Rovers
-
That tosser Clarkson once wore a rovers scarf but he's not a rovers topic of conversation is he!

Maybe so, but the thread is nothing to do with his connection to Rovers.

He also wore a Rovers cap on an episode of top gear, and who are you all trying to kid! You know you was all singing along to it

It still gets loads of plays on the radio and earns him royalties.

World In Order is pretty mega as well!

Think you're also forgetting Ant and Dec's effort from 2006!
-
Ok see your point
-
World In Motion i definitely the best England song ever made.
But yes, we don't often get good songs from football clubs. The two in my lifetime have been the generic John Parr effort and that "RTID" song, can't remember who put that out.
-
We should get LT to put out a Rovers song think of the publicity there ........ There's a task for Shaun lol

Didn't Kaiser chiefs do a cover of ruby instead of ruby ruby ruby went Donny Donny Donny.
I thought was strange as I sure they are L**ds fans

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jJRReAQWV8 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jJRReAQWV8) Surely the greatest football song in history!
John Parr's studio production has had 34,000 views, and my effort has had nearly 25,000 views despite being recorded in my bedroom on a digital camera.

If I remember rightly, they were on Radio One live from the Keepmoat when the song was out and just changed the lyrics for the occasion.

I'd agree with that 1879.🙂
