Totally agree about Alfie, to many touches before shooting. Surely he should be concentrating on this at training, its not rocket science is it? He gets into the right positions, and could be anything if he cut this out of his game.

Another aspect of Alfie playing,is that when we try and find him with a longer ball,and our midfield shoves up in support,they are drawn into the side of the field where the play is,leaving a gap in central midfield that the opposition have been exploiting.
Our back four have then got to either push up and leave space behind,or hold and let the opposition come on to them as did Blackpool especially,and Wimbledon who ran into the space and scored.
Thats when I want our midfielders to recognise the danger,and like Scunthorpe stop the game with a foul and put themselves about,or even better do what Bishop does and fill the gap and do the simple thing.

As alluded to on another thread, Selby, that's the inherent weakness with the diamond and I believe that is why DF has gone to a flat 4 recently.
